Did anyone get a trade from ea?

no trade today:
EMA 10[2] : 1.44010, EMA 10[1]: 1.44033
EMA 197[2] : 1.43961, EMA 197[1]: 1.43951
one is up, other is down

looks like no trade today as well.. This all will end up violently.

ea4 triggered sell on 1hr EURUSD.
Here's how it looks on the monthly.
If the retrace isn't too high the 197 ma will surely get hit.
the ea is better for GBPUSD though if we want to play it very conservative.

yes i get the GMT offset +3 from my IB.
maybe you can analyze from my chart.

and this is my broker condition :
1. The spread are fix 3 pips
2. They charge me 5 pips per opening position.

so I usually using 2 MT4, Alpari UK demo for the EA, when the EA pull the trigger I following it with my real acc at skyeast. (then why i use EA if the condition like that ???).

for last 2 days im trying with EA V8 with GU in demo account....no trades opened so far...

my broker is ikofx.....

anyone out there using same broker??

last time V5 work very fine for me....i better try with V5 again.....any suggestion?

The EA v8 should not have traded so it is not a problem with your broker.

Do you have Hide_Targets set to true, this allows ECN brokers to work with the EA, someone on the other thread posted this information!

You don't show the 10 SMA on your chart, it had a kink in it between the two candles where we look for it to be the same as the 197 SMA and this stopped us entering the short trade, thank goodness!

Besides, I drew a trend line on the chart last night, so the price had to follow my instructions!

the market always likes a bit of guidance, doesn't it?

The decision not to enter into a short trade was closer than everybody not sitting in front of the PC can imagine.......puuuuh...

and I can report another thing, Geoff. I found out why v7a and v8 has different P/L. It was very easy, I just compared the trade results and found out that slippage is actually better as we have only winning trades and no loosing. I found out that the "anti slippage" even hindered the ea to go for the full 50 pips t/ps and instead had a trailing s/l.....that really sounds strange in the beginning but after having a second thought it makes full sense.....we like slippage on winning trades and as there are no loosers (at least backtesting) this produces a better result.....agreed?

Good morning..

The slippage was set at 5 without regard to the number of digits the broker uses so it has to be modified for 4 or 5 digit brokers, I don't know why I missed that but I never considered it!

So, on a 5 digit broker instead of 5 pips slippage it was only 0.5 pips!

Ah well, I am still learning!

Could you please enlighten me in the most simplest way, on how this spread on your EA works?
Please tell me if this is correct:
If all conditions for an entry are met (MA aligned, fractals checked etc), then a buy order is sent (for long), at what price would we BUY at?
Wouldn't it be the ASK price of the broker at that instant?
In my mind, I had thought it would be the ASK price which is the BID price + brokers' spread ( a variable depending on broker).
If so, what is the role of 'spread= 5 pips' in your EA?

Apologies if this question is too ridiculous but to a layman like myself, it could help me understand why the backtest results are different between brokers.
