DislikedOh sorry.. I thought you would see if off back tests.
I use almost same box as Grant. Except I place my trade at 6:15, as for Grant I believe is places his trade at 6:00. I use SL of 15 and trade three (3) positons of TP1 of 15, TP2 of 30, TP3 of 45. Of course each time TP is hit I move SL up. And I look at MA 85 on 1 hour TF, not 15min!!. I used to trade this system manually and when MA was inside box, I would look at 15 min TF and drop the 3rd position and only trade 2.
hope that makes sense!Ignored
Dislikedso excuse me - but your results are a demonstration of malfunction of this method ! Fighting a hole month for 30pips ?
May be, the main problem is: how could we filter the numerous false breakouts ?
It's very quiet here now - for understanable reasonsIgnored
DislikedWhat ever became of this strategy anyway? Like so many others I see here, people get involved and then drift off to the next thing, leaving this one to die or to be taken up by a new group of people waiting to jump to the next thing.
People always talk about breakout systems like they're profitable. I can never seem to find a breakout thread on FF that doesn't die off. If it's profitable, is anyone still doing it? How? Is the first post still relevant, or no?Ignored
