Hello all,

Can somebody help me here please?

I am looking at the FXDD Metatrader platform and I see their server time is GMT+2 i.e. 2 hours ahead of my home time (England, UK).

However, upon searching on here there are people saying it is GMT+3. It isn't at the moment so I was wondering does anybody out there know if it moves to GMT+3 during Daylight Saving Time? In other words to compensate for the fact that UK time becomes GMT+1 they add 2 more hours making GMT+3 but only during DST?

Failing that does anybody know of a broker that is GMT+3 right at this moment? I have searched about 50 MT platform brokers and all fall between GMT and GMT+2.

Thanks to anyone who can help!!

FXDD is GMT +2.

Wouldn't it be great if MT4 let the user adjust the timezone, instead of having it locked to the server? You know, how every other charting package works.

FWIW, all MT4 brokers should be set to GMT +2, because that way the daily candle closes at the correct time (17:00 EST). MT4 closes the daily candle 24 hours from whatever time the broker sets, so brokers who use other GMT offsets have terrible data quality as a result. Who wants to see the Wednesday triple rollover occur in their Wednesday bar (instead of the beginning of the Thursday bar like it should)? Or have Sunday candles?

Yeah, I would do if they were actually my broker or in fact in the same country as where I live!

Forget about GMT, just stick to the present time whether its daylight saving time or GMT because all markets open at 8:00 am, London or New York.
The time gets adjusted automatically. No need to go hunting for a broker with +3 GMT. Just look for the present 00:00 to 23:59 to place Fibs from the High to the Low of the Day and locate your Entry, SL and TP.

Currently, FXDD's MetaTrader is GMT+3. It will switch to GMT+2 on November 4th, 2012, when daylight savings time is over.
