Hi geoff, i'm new here. But not new to FF. Reading a lot about ur EA. Not yet believer, but will try ur EA soon on micro.

No DLL is not used.

Another option has been challenging me.
Suppose I see a good setup and like to activate a trade manually during other trading hrs.

Is there a way that can be done?

The default settings do give a higher profit with a slightly higher risk whereas the new settings are far more conservative with "little" chance of a loss but with a lower overall profit.

Not with the EA, it only trades at 23:00 GMT but of course you can trade manually at any time however, it would be wise to do this from a separate chart.

Guess I still need my morning coffee first

I am talking about taking a manual trade on another hr of the day and still use the MM part of it, as that intrigues me most.

The SMA's are not the same as fractals, these are created by high and low points and are
an important part of the EA strategy.

In MT4 go into indicators where you will find Fractals, click and drag onto your chart and
you will see where they are formed.

I'm sorry I didn't know about that indicator.
So after 23:00 GMT we wait for a fractals in both timeframes in the direcction that we want. For exampel if we want to buy we wait for a Fractal up, no?

During the 23:00 GMT H1 bar we look for the latest locked M15 fractal to be opposite to the direction of the SMA's, this can be in the previous H1 bar.

This may seem strange but if we wait for the next M15 fractal to form we would be too late to catch the move.

Then we look for a locked M5 fractal to be in the same direction as the SMA's, locked means that we have waited for the third bar after the fractal is first drawn to be certain it will not redraw.

The M5 fractal gives us a good entry point!

I stepped camvcvooV4 through 31 levels of risk using the MT4 optimizer. I'm still at the "monkey with a stick" level when using MT4's optimizer and MQL4 so review my results with that in mind.

I loaded the tester with the conservative settings as listed on the first post then incrementally stepped by risk 1 percent/per trade from 1 to 31. So at the max step of 31 the tester was trading 93% acount value per setup.

Same as my previous post #679 but this time stepping the iRiskPercent incremental from 1 - 31 on the Default settings. Both test were run using the "Every Tick" modeling. I'm optimizing the settings as well.

Word of warning I'm a newbie so scrutinize my results carefully before forming an opinion about anything.

Hi Geoff

Downloaded the latest versions. v4a, v8, v4.
no trades today on demo or live.
But I did set up v8 for EU and again got the error #0 as it tried to trade. Traded manually for 25 pips.
Is this issue fixable or should I change brokers?
