I took a short and put in my SL only because I had to step out of the office and didn't want to leave this trade open. My trade got stopped out TO..THE..PIP..only to retrace. Yes, my trade is still red, but kinda funny how my SL was hit so precisely. That's why I only trade with mental SLs. My UChf and UC are just fine. It's this crazy pair that stole some of my banked profit. Oh well.

Yes my dear - you might be right with that. But it does not help us now. If you like - you might take a look at a Dollar/Yen chart for example. Then you will see two INTERVENTION times - coordinated at 1997 it was the first time when they were seen (BOJ) at the market. They pushed it down from 126.xx area down towards 111.25 (I remember that very well - as I was engaged within this time with my counterpart - a really tough Chinese guy from UBS in Hong Kong) and it dropped much faster than today.

Afterwards it was heading again towards 145.2xx area - a level which was hurtful for the Japanese - and then they invented again. Much more - that was after summer 1998 - and it dropped then towards 109.7xx levels again.

Then nobody had the nuts anymore for more than years - to play the old side again too far ! ! !

Only 2002 they tried again - but it never came back to the old levels again until today ! ! !


So what !

As you can see - it does work fine sometimes...

And it would not help us - as we are short term players in SPOT FOREX - when it should go much deeper - but what when it does not now and here... ?

The whole day - it had such a kind of strange feeling in my nose - as the moves were not as usual - it looked to me...

Somehow alarming - strange moves it was a bit before.

The question is, how long this channel can hold theoreticaly?? Anyone knows? Cause the spike up is stronger now than 2 last ones, and every channel breaks after some time so you know..

Look at this now, after 15m swing (mostly short covering), there actually starts to be some buying.

I would wait to see where this next 15m swing is able to go, then having something to compare with. Otherwise its more like guessing to figure out next 24h after these kind of moves.

They think they are smarter than I am.

I should've explained my post a little more though. Credit is due to Gator who called it, he is one of the best traders here. I try to decipher what he's trying to say and apply to my trading.
There are several others that I listen to that help form my view. Without them knowing, it's kinda like "trading by committee"
Works pretty well.

That sounds good, I gotta say, that I can't understand pretty much those gators charts but, certainly he has a lot of understanding in S&R and a lot of work invested in research.

Lets cut through the bullshit.. the sky is falling.. ez owes more then they take in.. they have an aging population. the money they take in is shrink-en further. a high percentage of people work for the government. they have high unemployment. so the government cut backs will make unemployment even higher. the government wage cuts will make workers have less to spend..further making a bad situation worse!!! Asia has taken away much of their market share.. banking system is in the crapper.. they are losing market share in their exports..they do not have commodities.. the charts say this!!!!!!! eu goes up with commodities because its the anti-usd... china has cut back... the proof is in the aud..decline.. cat laid off..so commodities falling will further press euro... and the chf is in a multi decade bear formation verses usd.. it ant gonna get better no matter what they do any time soon..years if ever. this crap they spill is only short term.. the market sees it..
so they will print or die not printing.. either way it will weaken currency.. the currency has failed.. move on.. or throw good money after bad..further weakening the currency.

I swear Gator, you should put your thoughts in writing, and that book should be required reading in economics schools everywhere. The most to the point analysis around. And you have a way with words too

I have about 20 positions open both ways and keep cashing in which ever

is in profit, though last 2 days with connection problems I take a lot of heat,

only Vodka.ru helps me to get everything under control
