Thats how you blow accts. Those 3 use similar entry method and they open 2 trades each at 140 pip sl. So one loss on those 3 and it can happen, would mean a 140pip x6 loss at a buck a pip thats -$840 in one shot. Unless of course you have money to burn then just sent it to me . Cheers

( most are nothing more then MA cross's ) ..
We are all aware that Geoff could so easy put this EA on the market and more then likely retire by Friday.
So to me that just show what a great person he is, and I fully intend to meet him one day and buy him a beer or two...

I must add that my" predictions" if you will are to be used as guide lines only and are not trade advise...( I charge for that )

I see your an Aussie....where are you? My daughter lives on the Gold Coast....Iam thinking of moving there next year....

Hi Artaneg,

thanks for your thoughts. I kept it simple by running the optimizer and first maximising the profits and then minimising the losses and the consecutive losses. The thing is that backtesting in my view never can substitute a good trading strategy future wise and all backtests change with every day. However and please correct me if my findings are wrong, I found out that profitability over the year stayed almost the same.

Crucial point for me to widen the s/l from 65 to 135 was the fact, that asian opening has changed for various reasons:
1) order books in the banks are very thin in this second leg of the financial crises, therefore the trend is not as easy as it was 1 month ago and earlier
2) the strategy becomes riskier the longer it takes to close the trade. As the trend in asia is more often not followed than followed the trades drag into the european session with the risk of a trendreversal and hence even longer duration of the trade.

How does this sound to you?

You can see that the EA has tried each order 10 times but the orders are being rejected for no reason, that is a strange one!

I can't think of a reason for this, you say it worked before and nothing has been changed in the EA, I take it that you have not been informed of any changes by your broker?

Please remind me, who is your broker and what type of account do you have?

The EA's don't interract if they have different magic numbers and of course we did not reach the stoploss in the latest trades but, don't forget the draw down, when the market moves against us the draw down with so many EA's doing the same thing could result in positions being closed.

I'm not sure what is causing Coutons problem!

Just a thought......if thats a full account.....and youre trying to open... up wards of 7 positions at 0.1 on a balance of $1200.00..


I would say you may not have enough of the green stuff...

I am using FXCM, its not a micro account. No changes mentioned to me. I guess mini would be the correct term I'll email them to see if there may be something they can pull from their servers logs. Error 0 really seems bizarre to me!

I'm getting married today so wont be around for 2 weeks (hopefully pending ash clouds!) so I'll let you know what FXCM say when I'm back!

Gobs of thanks to geoff again for his gift! And to calstock for his foretelling manual trading guidance.

I've been trading this live the past couple of weeks (ALL wins!), but JadeFx (broker) doesn't take all of the trades on the ea, so when I see a post of someone getting a fill (at about 4:30 pm PST U.S.) I've been creating a 15 pip price alert, waiting for a move against us of 15 to 30 pips, then hopping aboard.

Can someone suggest a broker demo account that's been taking all of the ea signals?

Now, you have just suggested something good, I admit that I have not taken notice of which brokers appear to take the most trades, but I will do this in future! :nerd:

My own Alpari accounts, both live and demo, do not take all the trades the last one is a good example, so I can start the list by excluding Alpari!

I use TDFX (Tadawulfx) and have not missed a trade. They are a STP broker. Just note that on their FAQ it says that their server offset is +1 when in fact it is +2. (My guess is that it will change back to +1 in the winter.)

I see from their site it says:

Execution: TDFX obtains its price feed from over 14 financial and banking institutions. This is why we are able to offer you most competitive and low rates and best execution 24 hours a day.

ECN and STP do seem to give faster execution and that suits EA's!
