Just got in and seen price action wtf? can anyone explain sharp move off the low? Intervention? News?

OMG, excuse me but I think you're thinking: "How do you determine your entry and exit points?".

The trend is determined by looking at long term charts like the daily and/or weekly charts. If you don't know what daily means, it means each candlestick in a candlestick chart represents one day of trading.

You can do your peak and trough analysis which is looking at the last highs and lows (higher highs and higher lows is an uptrend, lower lows and lower highs is a downtrend). Looking at a pair of moving averages also makes it easy to determine a trend.

Yeah it's not that perfect goes off course here and there, and at some point it will be completely useless but last 40 hours it's been on the money + or minus 10/20 pips here or there. But the overall picture is important. I don't sweat the small stuff. I show the next bar between 2529 and 2490 so maybe it be in the next 1 hour.

22:00 GMT = 23:00 BST (British Summer Time) so have to wait another 55 mins to see if this occurs...

You know what? I have no idea but I'll take a crack at it because I've looked at various methods. My guess is maybe using a trendline.

To get the time he would have to use slope most likely. TL + slope of current movement = works sometimes. I'm guessing we keep going up though. Target ~2580

Took short profit off (+26pips) the table as I'm about to head to sleep (didn't want any open positions open during this slow market).
