[ECB'S QUADEN] and Belgium's CB head is speaking at a conference in Cdn, saying that fx market reaction to financial situation in Europe is excessive and not normal. He like other EU/ECB officials draws a distinction between Greece's fiscal problems and the situation in others like Spain, Portugal, Ireland and Italy. That may well be the case but fx market (in pushing Euro lower) is looking a downward growth risks in Greece, Spain and other given deeper austerity measures on top of weaker conditions already. Moreover, Euro bears looking at overall debt burden situation in the countries (household and corp) and ability to finance.

I have a clear run up much higher. Could be wrong, but don't see anything holding it at the moment.

follow the money... greece needed a few billion... then imf and germany said 60 then 80 then 120..then all 16 countries got behind closed doors. now its about 1 trillian... who do you think really needs the money???? Its got France written all over it... the biggest holders of Greek debt are in France. they couldn't let France be bundled with the piigs. for the confidence of the euros sake. notice the big secret of where the money goes. tick tock..

Unless some biggie wants to benefit low volumes and swing a bit

So true. Germany is not in that bad shape but big is its finance sector debt ratio as well.

many people do.. but do they have the cash to do it.? not only do they have the cash.. will they risk the cash?? most big traders trade with the trend.

despite whats often said here commerce controls eu.. some hedge fund or bank with a few billion bucks cant do it more then a pip or 2. if it goes up i just sell the more.

exactly man. they said 3-4 months ago they were going to act quickly and decisively...that the speculators @ 3622 would "pay dearly"... whatever. the money just bails out banks just like Gator says. banks own greek debt greece(ALL PIGS) has to pay banks. period

Let's see if the DOW30 will have enough power to make it to previous support of 10975 cash, it looks weakening (but indices are tricky). There is a wedge there now on hourly chart. If stocks sell off again, then that will provide enough of a incentive to push EUR off a cliff, well through the 1.25 I would like it to happen as I will gain via GBP as it will also tank.
Prices oscillate, trends persist. Trend is your friend.

I've been sticking to the longer term trend so I plan on holding shorts until a major retracement is in the works.

The Key: Find the trend over the long term and pick off entries over the short term. Stay with the trend.

Its going pip by pip (either position closing or some gradual selling), look for big support green candles and see possible drop downside.
