Always the way. Within a couple of hours of closing shorts I've had for 2.5 days, there's an 80+ pip drop.

EURO-DOLLAR: Gets pulled lower by cable slippage, the rate breaking under
support at $1.2630 as it extends its corrective pullback off early highs
of $1.2684. Rate seen retesting late NY/early Asia lows of $1.2611 with
Asian sovereign demand interest seen placed toward $1.2600. Some
suggestion that $1.2600 holds option barrier interest, with stops said
to have been building in recent sessions below. Further demand seen at
$1.2580, with more stops below.

EURO-DOLLAR: Traders report decent sized stops triggered on the break
below $1.2590, the move taking out any barrier interest at $1.2600. Rate
trades down to $1.2572 on the initial move, after further stops
triggered under $1.2580, currently around $1.2582. Bid interest now seen
at $1.2550, a break here exposing recent lows at $1.2510, with stronger
demand seen here ahead of large barrier interest at $1.2500.

sorry a pending short at 1.2617-42 does that mean you expect the price to go up to that level and bounce down again ?

EURO-DOLLAR: US name a noted seller since rate broke under $1.2600,
trader say, with rate extending the lows to $1.2563, after easing below
the initial break low at $1.2572. Bids $1.2560/50, with talk of a
barrier at $1.2550. Below here and last week's low at $1.2510 moves into
view, with stronger bids noted here ahead of large barriers at
$1.2500. Rate currently trades around $1.2582.

EUR/USD - Good chance for +40 pips now long.

Based on last days "side" moving todays I'd say it's good chance to get back to 1.2615 . Then relax and later today with US open go down again to 1.2555.
