My Alpari UK took the trade. Are you using GMT offset +2? Does your chart have a happy face on the upper right corner showing that the EA is active?

I've noticed in the last few weeks, many trades (all?) go a bit against us before going on to make TP.

Would it be worth backtesting (or maybe this has been tried already?) to have the ea sell at X pips above the initial entry price if going short, buy at X pips below the initial entry price if going long.

For example in today's action, if 1.4835 was the initial entry, price has already been up to 1.4845 since then, so ask the ea to sell at 1.4845 with a 32 pip target vs. 22 pips. If this didn't eliminate very many trading days it would increase profits by 40%+.

I was bit busy with office work and was away for last 4 days and surprised to see the number pages gone to 149 from 71 (when i watched last).

you have done an excellent work and happy to inform V7 has initiated 2 orders today (sell) on my live account. Hope to get the success today as i used to get on the back testing.

TP1 + 22.7 pips @ 01:10

TSL + 12.7 pips @ 01:17

Someone in forex factory has done the following on spreadsheet:

Starting Equity: 1,000.00
Daily pips gain: 25
Assuming no loss and compound the account, at the end of one year, estimated account equity would be around 300,000.00!

looks like this EA can achieve the above! Even if it works 50% of the time, it will still be awesome!

Anyone disagree?

i am using v7, 2 orders are placed, but sl, tp are shown as 0.00000, any issue ? i am using the default settings. hide_target=true. my question is how do i know if sl, tp orders are placed or not ? i am using FXCM UK demo account

Because the hide_target=true, the EA settings for tp and sl will be used to close the trade. So for that to happen, you have to keep your computer on and the EA running. If you can't do that, then you can set hide_target=false and when the trade is placed, the sl and tp are entered with the trade. In this case, your broker will close out the trade when either is hit.

Geoff,

From what i see in your forward testing on FXStat, you are maximising the profits. Your first position was closed for 25 pips instead of the 22 pips. Your second trade is still trailing for +49 pips as of now.

Did you do anything that is different from the default values that are with the attached V7?

Wow...what a great night for your EA, Geoff!! You are the man!!!

I ran the following versions and currencies...all ended in profit:

EURUSD: 74 pips (V5b)
GBPJPY: 89 pips (V5b)
GBPUSD: 71 pips (V5b), 44 pips (V7), 72 pips (V7adx)

This is in total 350 pips !! And this all while I sleep...

Thank you so much for your great work.

I think I quit my daily job...

It happened to me also.. But for an EA, i mean.. 1st EA without lost, so far for now..been using this since 2nd May!! Thanks very much geoff and everyone involved!!
