sad to say i'm not on demo, was banking on the ecb thingy not pulling through. well, i'll be back to trading mini lots if it went up again, still holding my short as pa seems want to go down.... or am i seeing things??
loss 100k in Forex, up 1k, still have 99% to go!!

you risked 16K then of a 17K total account? on a day like today? damn man, u got some balls or ur just plain crazy

Nice to hear that - so 24/7 is the word we have to be focused at. In other words - you have not have seen a "so-called" gap as well - when markets opened in New Zealand on Sunday.

i got in on last week, was abit stupit i admit. now have to rebuild my account. this is the (lost count) time i blew a account. only thing is i'm still in the trade with 1 lot. so at least there is something left.

btw, anyone using AVA? used it before, but keep blowing up any amount i put in, seems ill fated to me. IBFX also blew some account. now using a local broker, but its system sucks, price is slower then market when there's action and hard to place order when price move fast

Don't feel bad.. I blew a big account too.. A lot different going from demo to live account.. I found out.. LOL..

Yep, no gaps whatsoever on oanda. there will be times of course where they do maintenance on the platform or whatever and then you can't trade(but this has happened once or twice in I'd say the last 6 months) and it was after hours and they sent an email letting you know it was gonna happen.

It is to your advantage though to know that the gap may close/is closing before a lot of people even see it's there..

dang man, that sucks. i gave back some of my profit too after a great first 4 days of the week.. never heard of AVA..check out the broker section though too.

Whoa! I've used 0.1 micro lots with FXOpen. I was kind of ticked last night when I used 0.4 micro lots and took a loss going long on the EUR/USD.

Anyone here with previous FX experience watching governments intervene in their currency? How often will they try to push it back up? I heard on Bloomberg the money may only last until August.

actually never use demo before, i started using live when i first touch forex, thats why i'm down about 70k since i started. was about to quit when i'm left with 2k in nov last year, but sort of nurse that 2k to 28k last week. did take out 10k last week before being stupit and lost 17k.
loss 100k in Forex, up 1k, still have 99% to go!!

i don't see any clear movement up right now on my chart, however stochastic should turn anytime by now... (on 15m, 14,7,3)
