LOL, that is funny, well I hope they quickly closed the trades, otherwise only paper profit most of which quickly evaporated...the guy sounds like an snakeoil salesman teaching a seminar, wonder if he was really short. He did not say that they were short, he kept screaming that he told about this 2 weeks ago. Sounds more like poster coming in after the fact saying they told you so, not a trader.

Well closed shorts on thursday and reloaded late friday...not worried, it could have a little bounce, or could actually be ignored by traders as it is all BS, going down to 1.2350 as next stop.
So what are they going to do with their little fund? Save the world? LOL
They are desperate...and remember in 2008 when Congress was going to approve the bailout, it went a little up before the bailout, and when approved, it actually sold off. Same thing is going to happen here. My humble opinion.

may be. actually depend on your account size and leverage etc. but then there are other factors. sell off has been pretty rapid and world is in a better shape than a year ago. if everyone is selling then there is nothing more left to sell. yada yada.

what is the fun if the world was to end tomorrow. let it range a bit, and prolong the agony (or fun? )

the EZ economy would actually be more competitive with a lower euro, what they need is for the bond yields to go down and cost of borrowing to go down, but all they do now is talk about not allowing the euro to go down and to prop it up, as it was going up they were screaming that is was not good for them, now is also not good for them, they sound like cats having sex, they cry when they put it in and they cry when they take it out...
and now Washington is getting involved in this fiasco

And was it not Geithner not too long ago that kept repeating that it was beneficial for the US to have a strong dollar. Now they have a somewhat stronger dollar, only relative strong if only the last 2 years are counted, historically it is still weak, and now the cats here are also crying when having sex.

What's wrong with eu $$ at par and dollar yen at 200, it's been there before and nothing collapsed. Let Greece default, so what if some banks lose some money...
All this is is propaganda EU style, a/k/a TARP II, the little guy bailing out the banks.

Paulson said the world was ending for TARP I to be approved, now it's time for Zarkosy and Merkel to frighten people, and of course is always the speculators fault...what happened to Goldman Sachs creative hiding of the amount of the Greek debt which is part of the real cause here?

Here's a chart... We broke that 38 pretty convincingly...I don't know the stats but it's pretty high that we reach the 50 after breaking the 38..they say when we break the 50, we're due for a full retrace

lol, my logic is just fine------you may need to brush up on urs.....you are one of the only people I know of on here that trade with an emotional bias against a currency. What are you trying to say with that post? I couldnt really pull point out of it....What dont you understand---USD isnt in question right now, last time i checked its still the flight to quality and will be for sometime....ok when global markets correct later this year( may have already started), usd is gonna soar along with treasuries which will probably make you shit urself cause ur dollar short.

Although the exact composition of China's $2,450bn of foreign exchange reserves is a state secret, it is believed that 20-25 per cent are held in euros.

Im looking a lot further than than my friend....its only time until equities markets unravel again, thursday was just a taste. I gotta secret for you-----there WAS NO TRADER GLITCH, this is real. That is what happens when traders decide to stop hitting the bid button. All this US data coming out is wrong.....I know bullshit when i smell it. Media is trying to piss in everyones pocket and tell em its raining....not me though. Sure USD will ultimately meet its downfall bc of its debt, no question there, but right now its the name of the game and will be for sometime--buying usd and gold

Analysts said the divergence between the price of government debt for countries at the core of the eurozone, such as Germany, and those on the periphery undermined the euro's reserve status.
Ian Stannard at BNP Paribas said he had revised his projection for the euro against the dollar sharply lower and now expected it to fall to parity by the first quarter of 2011. "European bond markets are no longer a homogenous entity, which has reduced their attractiveness to foreign investors," he said.
Mr Stannard said the net inflow into European sovereign debt markets had collapsed, while central banks, which had been steady euro buyers and bond investors for years, had disappeared from the markets.

right now most euro markets are like a chic with an std, nobody is touching them with a ten foot pole. I love europe as well, maybe ill plan a vacation there later in the year when its cheap....

Good luck to anyone who is so sure about the direction on hearsay and trades it live. It may work out this time maybe but what about tomorrow , next week or next month unless you make your money now and stop trading for good you burn it again the same way.
Look the market sentiment for the period you are trading in and two above for guidance adjust your money management and you come out in front of the game.

i have also may oppinion about the Euro but I certainly don't use it to trade.
