classic ez threats that are hollow....traders are laughing at merkel, not quiveling in their boots like ez leaders want. EZ CANNOT do anything, anyways why would they want to, devaluation may be their only hope for survival at this point. German exports were on the decline late 2009, and they still are slow....Why would countries pay a lot for european made products now? They arent going to....China is raising export prices as well due to inflation there, no more cheap chinese shit. Inflation is rapant in china, they have cities there that are just built every day with no people in them. Population is increasing fast there....its only a matter of time before shit hits the fan there.Domestic demand for goods will be high in china. China will be forced to slow down exports by raising renminbi rates....letting euro devalue will provide a some type of solution to problems. High euro rates are over, simple as that.....

What about the speculators that pushed it from .82 to 1.6 ?

We are seeing the unwinding of speculators going back to the USD from the EUR..

Why was it so "natural" for it to appreciate to 1.6 but "unnatural" for it to go back to it's purchasing parity level??... I just don't get it..

Well yes, but this take years so it's just gradual rise. And what we

got now it's over hyped collapse.. This all Greece situation is a joke..

I don't know when, but world will go back

shorting Dollar as usual, ones things get better.. Right now it's sitting

just below that long term bear TL it's going to get back down there:

Well.. I've been watching this pretty closely for about 6 years.. some of the moves up in EUR/USD were pretty quick.. remember 1.38-1.60 ?.. That was not gradual.. in my opinion..

Yes. Greece is a joke.. As i've said before, I agree with you 100% that U.S. books are more frightening than little ole greece.. but.. the people in control have every resource they need to move the markets they way they want..

At first it sounds like a car/art auction then when price get around 90 down, panic sets in and you can hear it in his voice. Floor traders screeming in the background - no counter offers.

That was mad,i used to trade the s&p with that squawk in the background,i remember in the 08 crash the pit was ten times louder than that,brings back some good and bad memories though.

No, what defender plan do they have? It's all BS, if they do QE it devalues the currency. So how are they going to defend unless they give money to Greece, then to Portugal, Spain and the rest. And how about Italy, they are going to be a worse problem then Greece b/c they are a bigger economy and higher % of EU combined than Greece. So how much money is Germany going to be able to take from themselves and give to all the debtbeats?

The Greece package was approved midday New York session Friday, that is why it bumped up after noon eastern time...this is old news already reflected in the move from low 1.25 to closing friday.

What is new is this new pumping that all eurozone countries united to defend, but they don't say how they will do that. Let's see how the big boys defend the record short positions and who can endure.

After all this BS weekend pumping it is up only about 10 pips from closing, so this defender alliance is not having much effect.

The ECB does on Sunday what Fed did on that Sunday in March for JPMorgan-Bear stearns. 1.2350 is next stop $EURUSD $$

Just seeing eu monthly chart , it back to the C failure in feb 2009 & virtually broke first time the monthly close candles , may see to the extreme area of 1.2455 break as last supply . so price test this area before go to the demand back at 1.2973 & continue all down . Not much room fore any great bounce perhaps.feb 2009 may not back again & again.
And one thing with the previous C failure there started unfolding the next wave & with break it will confirm wave unfolded to the down .
lets see what waiting for us to see .
One thing they all see the chart , more clearly & advanced way with much advanced datas access as to where market to go & do & in doing what fundamental changes may need to ,so Greece drama is only a drama , if greece able to excape default Germany may to happen this or more disastrous things may hit eurozone in the form of one or the other .Nothing happened by night.They were lucky so far , they found Greece as skape got.

So even if the EU does as it says and has a bail out package summed up before the Asian open, you still think the Euro is still on the downward path?

I would think it would get a temporary bump up and then continue down.
