Alpari Pro account is ECN and their demo accounts are based on ECN.

But the Pro account is $20k minimum and lowest lot size is 3 standard lots, i.e. $30 a pip!

I needed a small live ECN account so I can play!

Have opened an IBFX demo and a FXCBS demo. Hopefully I can test on those. They switched my demo to 5 digits yesterday and now I'm trying it for testing again. So it's all well with the world.

No better place to do it than Tortola. That's what they tell me anyway. We shall see.

I use $1 a pip on a $10K account, it's peanuts, but it pays off when you have 3 or 4 EA's doing the same thing!

What do you think of the idea of putting v5b on one chart and v7 on another chart and running them both? Very small%. I could put the E/D on too.

Sounds good!

My v7 tests on forex.com are not as good as Alpari, probably due to the slightly higher spread.

I think IBFX's are higher still. But I've been fussing with Forex.com all week and it's still not working. I pushed the start at 1:00 and it's 4:43 and it's half way thru the results tab. At this rate it will still be there tomorrow. I think 5 days dedicated to it are enough. I'm not fond of IBFX either but in only a few minutes it's well on it's way. Am I complaining? Oh dear. Frustration I think. Talk to me, please....

Opened ver4 in Strategitester. What I can see there are 2 tp default 60 and 200.

Hi Mary,
They don't allow hedging and I don't know how it will go if, say, one long trade is still open and another comes on board as a short. Say Monday's long trade is still open and Tues gives us a short, how will that be handled? I know too a few years back they had a problem with the governing agencies but that's been a long time ago. Also I'd check to see how easy it is to get withdrawals without delays. I wanted them for backtesting. I think Elovv posted something but I can't tell you when it was, about the good and bad of IBFX. He thought they were good for very small acct. Their spreads are higher than they need to be also. Mind you these are just some of my thoughts. You could also call and talk to them and see how easy and pleasant they are. I have Alpari UK and they are perfect except in their GMT changing during the year. Excellent service, timely withdrawals, good spreads. But.....don't take my word for it. If you're comfortable with IBFX then that's where you should be. They've been around a long time and they have a lot going for them. They must have to survive the changes that have taken place. I primarily think of the hedging. I would ask about that, either Geoff or Elovv, as to how that would be handled......Just my thoughts.

1) v7(normal,197sma) - win 91x2(98.97%), loss 1x2(1.03%), total 4302.9pips
2) v7(adx(14)>=20 instead of 197sma) - win 130x2(97.01%), loss 4x2(2.99%), total 5224.7pips
3) v7(adx(14)>=20 and 197sma) - win 80x2(100%), loss 0(0%), total 3722.5pips

1) v7(normal,197sma) 98.9%win

Elovv, Geoff, anyone--do you know if there could be trades taken by the EA that might be considered hedge trades?

Taiyakixz, Are you checking only ADX signal line to be >=20?
Or you are checking +DI/-DI crosses too?

I dunno how, but EA did it.. I made Screenshot for as long back as I can

fit it on the screen to see details.

P.S: There is Trailing Stop. that's probably why some of the trades cut short, but I'm ok with that

because it's a protection, better get less pips, then have a loss..

Hi Geoff, You are the greatest moderator of a thread. Thanks for all your work. You get some very talented pepole to contribute to your thread. I have not posted very often. I can almost alway find what I need from someone elses post. I have tried to use Steve's new EA, but I get a failure of trade volume. OH well, he will explain or correct it. Please do not get worn out at this we all are looking forward to what you and the members here can produce.

I have a mini account with IBFX for more than a year, I llike IBFX, but they have slippage very often, for that i have tested a lot of EAs that work fine in demo but are lossers in live. About the hedging you can open a second account and move part of the money from one account to another.
