I made 159 pips on the way down, and gave em all back trying to short this crazy bounce!

I didn't see that one post. My comment was made in jest because I caught a lot of his euro bull remarks. I agree that he is one of better traders here.

Bring your lot size down and spread your SL out. Too much volatility around. I'm normally a .50-1.00 and I'm having some fun with stacking .05's!

Thought this was interesting:

TRADE CANCELLATION NOTICE

IB has received notice from each of the NASDAQ, NYSE ARCA, BATS, DIRECT EDGE, ISE and NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE of their intent to cancel all trades executed between 14:40:00 and 15:00:00 which were executed at a price greater or less that 60% away from the consolidated last print in that security at 14:40:00 or prior. Each has also provided notification that this decision cannot be appealed. At this point we are awaiting information from these exchanges, as well as any other exchanges which may later provide notice of a similar decision, as to which stocks are affected and the break points at which the cancellations will take place.

Once this information has been determined, IB will act to process any resultant position and cash changes to your account and will provide notification of this action via email and TWS bulletin. As such changes may adversely affect account equity and/or margin compliance, account holders are advised to monitor their accounts and manage their risk accordingly. Additional information will be posted as received to the System Status page which may be located by typing the keyword 'System Status' into the IB website search engine.

PS.

This is 92 move in one direction today already (counting GMT time)...that's pretty significant.

Not that I say it gives any final conclusion, of course, but indicates where it wants to go.

Haha, that's great, but I think I must be the only person that didn't make a killing today. I ended up walking with a few hundred, but was down almost $6k at one point...

I was out and about all day with Mrs. Seer, and was listening to NPR on the auto radio and heard that I had missed all kinds of fun today.

Sh*t, damn, hell - woulda loved to sit back with pizza and beer to watch the carnage, panic, murder and general mayhem all caused by either a 'computer glitch' or possibly some dumb-ass newbie somewhere pressing the wrong amount into a trade (my personal favorite), or maybe a chain reaction of computer generated trades - Whatever, I'm bummed I missed it all.

Nuttin' like a minor little shakedown to clear out all the riff-raff -

I've been considering that, but mainly I need to stick to my planned trades and stop trying to be cleaver and jump into the frey when price was whipping up and down after the big spaz out today. Is good I,m only on demo today. I went from 60,000 up to 72,000 and back to 60,000 imagine if it was real! 8 lots wiv 25 sl that's 6% risk per trade.

Anyone listening to Alex Jones? He keeps saying they gonna take pensions to prop up the banks? Has this actually materialized in legislation or anything yet. Mostly what he says comes true and is worse than he said.

yea im not sure if i believe that bs about a fat finger black box f*** up....I Think a lot of longs liquidated positions today, it was the same in just about every market around the world, including commodities. So did every trader hit the wrong button on multiple markets? Traders are taking profits. It was a great shakeout though lol. Its hilarious when it happens in the US someone says "ohh someone musta hit the wrong button, dont worry keep buying equities" LMAO Wanna talk about manipulation!

after a week when price move mostly in 1 direction, the Friday tend to move opposite way, position are being closed because people don't like to have them during the weekend. because of this i'm looking forward to go long but not without confirmation...

The Nasdaq said after markets closed that it will cancel all trades of stocks that moved more than 60 percent from their price at, or immediately prior to, 2:40 p.m., when the slide started. The cancellation applies to trades executed between 2:40 p.m. and 3 p.m.
