I havn't had any trades on live account with alpari uk,nor on demo acc on
Forex.com.
The same with eurusd on demo.

I changed Geoffs v5a for GBPUSD into EUR/USD and named it EURUSD v5a. Then I optimized it in Alpari UK demo version for all variables and came up with the following setup:
ema 20
s/l 65
GMT 0
GMT offset 0
start time 0
t/p1 28
t/p2 46
trailing s/l 28

This saved version you find in my post number 1640

i already test our EURUSD V5a, and the result are not good.
starting from 2009.01.02 and got a margin call at 2009.01.27
i use tour default setting. please check the attachment.
i'll will try to modif your setting and post the result here ASAP

You are only allowed 7 attachments to a post so we could only have 3 EA's on post #1.

thanks a lot for having tested it. I know for 2009 the results were terrible but did not find out where the bug is in.....hoped to find here some more clever guys who could help......
on alpari live v5b both longs closed profit..1 tp 1 ts
v7 nothing...

tests shld be run on live acc platform not demo, right?
We are getting very mixed results this week. Some got no orders at all, some longs, others shorts.

Just check what Alpari did today:

- Alpari did 1 short on v4 (see "geoff's" live acc)
- Alpari did nothing on v5a (this is what "Haishang" wrote)
- Alpari did 2 longs on v5b (this is what "mistersimple" wrote)
- Alpari did nothing on v7 (this is what "Haishang" wrote)

To be fair, i would say the mixed results we are getting are not EA dependent.

The only way to find out whether the EA works is to use it on one chosen broker. Or testing the EA using a fixed version. By using different versions, we are comparing, for example, which apple (USA, Australia or England) is good?However, we do know that it is a fact that even if we use on a single chosen broker, we still get different results! A very good excuse is maybe the data feed from the broker transfer to the user in different locations differs (due to internet connection speed). That's why the different results. In fact, no one can explain very well why. Maybe, it is just luck that it work or it did not work for you?

+22 and +29 on Alpari UK live, starting to claw back the SL

Geoff, thanks again for sharing this EA with us and to all for their contributions in refining it into what it is now

You have probably given this some thought already but with the success of the EA it is probably only a matter of time until some scumbag swipes it from here and starts to market it

Is there anyway to protect it?
Alpari UK live, V5a 2 longs filled @ 1.5098, profits taken @ 22 pips & TS hit at 26 pips.

Strangely nothing on the demo account for V5a.

No trades either on V6 or V7.

So far v5 has been the most profitable version. I'm wondering if v7 is more selective with trading conditions.

V7 uses 10SMA and 200SMA and the slope must agree between candles 21:00 and 22:00 GMT, last night they were in opposite directions so there would be no trade.

V4, v5a and v5b only use 16SMA which had a downslope last night so we would expect a short order but, this is where broker variations come in, once the trend is established from the SMA's the EA looks for a specific fractal setup between fractals on M15 and M5.

We have noticed that the M5 fractal is broker dependent, due to "smoothing" of the data feed.

Yes, this is true, I post both files because I acknowledge that some members are less experienced than others and might not know how to compile the .mq4 file.

I, somehow, read or understood that V4, V5a and V5b are using 10SMA.
