no... gold is going up... i just depends on the currency you peg it against.. its down verses usd.. but still doing better then euro... at least it was last i looked.. all it means is usd is improving faster compared to gold. usd is improving compared to most anything today..look at oil...

This has been one of the craziest weeks. Lots of movement and some pairs/commodities are not acting in line with their usual counterparts. Perhaps market going through a "resetting" phase. ??

Well, you will do what you think is best, of coursr. I can tell you what I'm doing, though.

I have pivot points and as price breaks some significant level (pivot point, S/R line...) I move SL downwards and set it just a few pips above it....

Thank you for your advice, I also moved my SL above S1 (+- 2888), I'm just wondering how long I should keep this trade open, I'm in profit by +- 90 pips and I would hate to loose all those pips on a retrace, on the other hand I think that this will go down further, just wondering how much further, don't want to be too greedy and would like to play it safe.

Well, we broke S1 and we're on M1 at the moment. Looks like we have a bit of retracement now. So, you should have your SL a few pips above M1 (M1 is @1.2837).

If you want safe, conservative trade, than you might want to consider the fact that daily range average for eurusd is 116 pip and we moved for 192 pips already today. So, possible conclusion could be that 'that's all folks for today'.

Of course, there always is a possibility of some 'out of range' moves, but again, if you want to play it conservative, that's the idea.
