The [GERMAN BGA] exporters association says the [EURO] could reach parity with the Dollar by year-end. Such a forecast could be more in hope than expectation, but does point to the growing view that EMU and Euro problems are dominating FX markets at present. Few have been talking a parity return just yet, last seen in Dec 2002, but Eur/Usd bears have been increasingly talking/betting on 1.25, 1.20 and 1.10, albeit via the options market. A marginal new 2010 Eur/Usd low of 1.2935 has been registered in Europe, but ACB led demand has worked to limit the downside so far. We are still looking (much) lower following latest headlines from Merkel and Weber, with next bear targets/stops seen through 1.2885 and 1.2830/35.

I think the "short the euro" dinner knew something we and every1 else even the countries could not know.

I doubt if all the countries devote enough time to calculate what would be the effect of individual countries across the world failing on their economy the sheer number of possibilities and scenarios is too vast.

But here is a group, with financial investments in all significant and non-significant countries across the world either directly or through linked dealings. Their information if shared amongst them would give them an almost "chart" to trade with. Its their business to study the scenarios and decided to invest significant amounts of money, data turned to intelligence and when a pattern like that of euro must have come into their notice. Well, "Short the euro" dinner definitely needs to take place to decide how to best benefit from this.

Massive amounts of capital too be collected, countries to be positioned in such a way that the only way out leads to another stronger wave to be established.
First EZ and then China may crash stories.

friend in greece tells me on twitter they are all out on terraces enjoying the sun and beers and watching rioters on tv... as we do . no body is working now in greece, everything is on strike (trams, buses, subs, government, ferrieS)

media are on strike also, nothing is on on tv... and i can assure you nobody enjoying beers now days here

hmmm...doubt any of the EZ countries or IMF is going to confirm the loan when the political situation gets here.
