Here are the best results that I have been able to get from the EA using the optimisation tool in the tester.
TP1 22, TP2 50, SL 140, TSL 22, fast_sma 10, slow_sma 197.
I have decided to post it as v7 as it is quite different from previous issues.
Using the optimizer the Slow SMA came out at 197, strange but true!
and my IBFX gives the only one loss here, in this spot:

Geoff, here is interesting thing - looks like you have a hole in history in march of 2010 - here is a part of your statement:

i have been looking for a new broker to put this and another EA on. haven't got to any conclusions, unfortunately.
been reading about it and had just crossed this when i read your email.

i have nothing for or against them and have never traded with them. you will also find an answer from the broker a few posts down.
now that i am at it, have you thought that 4 pips saved per trade (2 for the open and 2 for the close, that's 4 per trade, if i am not mistaken!)...

maybe we can ask someone with 99% modeling quality to test v7?
i have seen it makes a huge difference. don't know why but it does.
if we look back at this thread (many, many pages before, don't ask me how many) we saw a run with dukascopy data to show poorer results.
at that time it was with v5 if i remember. maybe V7 has much better results.
same goes to 2008. would love to see v7 results on 2006 to now on 99% modeling quality. that would really make me put some dough on this!
it seems some EA suffer from curve fit disease (LOL) for what i understand it means that the we found a common denominator in the last year or so. doesn't mean that there is a high probability that the market will continue to evolve like it has the past year.
that's why an EA that show profit on several pairs is more likely to have a real edge and not be curve fit to a specific pair on a specific time...
but, as you see in my name i am only a wannabe, so these are just some ideas to discuss hoping it will be productive for the group.
