It could well be good money after bad, but it is evident that the new Greek government are committed to avoiding bankruptcy. They might have extended that for another 3 years! Right... one maybe sorted in the short-term, next one please.

After this I think Offshore drilling is over.. Cause look, one failure and
it make X1000000 disaster cost than production.. Why there is not
any shut down mechanism in place already by design??..
What would happened to all of those beautiful Florida beaches in Mexican
bay.. So much harm for few thousands barrels of OIL..

Overall way too many world - wide disasters for just 1 year..
2 years left to 2012? Hope this is just another Y2K type
of BS.

I'm thinking about.. As I see surprisingly

price doesn't drop that much yet.

"Lawyers for private plaintiffs including fishermen have filed at least 26 potential class action lawsuits so far for damages from the spill."


BP still 52$..?

its a blowout. its being pumped by natural pressure. they are talking about drilling a relief well on the side of the last one. this well is many miles deep. i am sure at best this will take many months to drill. when your miles deep and a mile under the water. who can say even if new well will even put a dent in the pressure release of the first one. its unkown this well can leak for years. you got a mile of water pressure squeezing it up out the hole. then oil being lighter then dense saltwater takes over. the new well will just relieve some pressure. there is no guarantee it will stop or even slow slow down the leak.

Fist there was regional banks, they crashed them to create central national bank (i.e fed reserve). Then they let that fail and you get a continental bank (Euro) Then they let that fail to bring in the final goal 'World bank'. And they trying to make one world government. Problem reaction solution. Hegelian dialectic.

I don't know if daylight savings made this wrong, but on GMT chart I was right, right? And 90 minutes later (3am CT) it's just about at 3330's. I telling you this thing creates literal maps of the future and they are time specific.

I could knock this out to the masses right now, but I wouldn't want to put this kind of power in the hands of bad men. It would be nice to have an exclusive group to discuss and refine it down work out the kinks. You can watch PA and see what scenario is playing out before you commit to a trade. And the more I study it, the more I'm seeing what makes it work, eliminating the need for multiple scenarios. It's very Exciting. I'll continue to share the benefits of it on FF.

BP is def a long for me... the well is leaking out approx 5k barrels per day from Aprill 22nd:

When Exxon Valdez leaked about 250k barrels, the original fine they got was $5bln, which was later reduced to $1bln and they got 20 yrs to pay it off. All in all it probably cost them about $3.5bln...

Now, for the spill to be the same size, this would have to go on continuously until 9th / 10th July.

The sell off in BPs share price equates to about $15bln off it's market cap... which would make to total cost of this about $20bln (BP's share is only 65% of the whole thing)....Not to mention the Q1 results were pretty strong I am told, this spill is overshadowing them. BP also trades at a discount to it's peers.

All in all, I think the markets reaction is overdone and thus BP presents an opportunity long. I have no convictions on the equity market as a whole and so I would probably hedge my Beta with a short FTSE position.

you got bad info.. your using bp estimate. the real amount is 25k. your in warmer waters so oils will disperse more. your not talking about oil hitting a bunch of rocks. that ship had a limited amount of oil. the reserve in the gulf floor is much bigger then hundreds of ships (maybe thousands) oil is hitting one of the most productive fisheries in the world (concentration wise). this is the nurseries for much of the seafood eaten in u.s. unlike Alaskan rocks marsh is very fragile just clumps on top soil held together by grass. a square foot of grass has thousands of young sea creatures growing in it. you may think its overdone if so you don't have a clue. remember gas prices just after Katrina. find out how much oil is piped through Port Fouchon , then lets talk. bp doesn't have enough money to pay a fraction of what will be lost. bp is self insured.
i fished these waters all my life. at times it was not uncommon to catch thousands of fish in a single weekend on a rod and reel. whats lost may never be recovered.

i see your in the uk. so i can understand a bias. but don't let bias hurt your account. this is not Exxon Valdez.. Exxon was a anchor accident. By-passing safety is criminal in U.S. Deaths are involved. Guess who the jurors will be? Some suits will be in state court. Bp has refineries in the state with accounts that can be seized. Don't underestimate what can happen. The Brits did not do well in last fight in New Orleans (Chalmete marshes where the last battle really took place will be covered with oil. ).
