V6 with default values reached 96.15% success ratio in my backtest. I think I'll fire it live along v5 and see if there are any differences with my tweaked one.

Geoff, I don't know if I would waste much time trying to figure out the reversals. I saw the possible down trend just after the open, reversed my position, made up my loss plus a few p, reset my longs and went to bed. My TP was hit just as yours, my second position with a trailing stop picked up a few more than it should have (second entry was bout 20p under the first) but not as much as 10 more I wouldnt think. The idea of an EA is not to have to manage the trade, or even make it manually. You are doing about as well as I am with none of the sweat, leave well enough alone.

Thank you, I must admit I am struggling to find a way to improve on what we have already got, everything I have tried so far just makes it worse!

But, I would certainly like to reduce the SL, with 2 orders running it is a pig!

The underlying strategy is good so I should be grateful for that!

I just checked with forex.com re: their spreads. They fluctuate between 5 and 6 pips (for a $1000 acct) on USDGBP. Now I'll check IBFX. I'm with FXDD at 4 pips.

Demo and Live same trades and profit GMT time

23.20 buy 1.5354, 2 orders

06.34 TP first order 1.5376, +22 pip
07.01 SL second order 1.5367, +13 pip

I have traded 3 days this week. On my liveacc I´m up 109 pips.

With my mm I risk 10% every day. Im up 4,6% this week.

If You start with a little miniacc for ex $1000 and risk 10% every day. Winning days 1,5%. (I think it can be better, second trade this week (last 3 days) not better than 19 pip, it can be 49)
Loosing days -10%
Say 20 wins,1 lose, 20 wins.....(IBFX has only wins last 12 moths)

If we compound every day (possible with IBFX mini cent account)

How much do you have after 12 months (1 month 20 win, 1 lose)
How much after 5 years?
After 10 years?

the gmt time is coming wrong. gmt is shown as curent computer time. i am in GMT-5.30, my broker is GMT+1. Current time in my computer is 22:25, current GMT is 16:55. the EA is showing GMT as 22:25 , broker time as 17:55

Yes, I have already been informed of this, I wasn't sure if it would work as I only tried it on 2 brokers and it worked on them.

Back to the drawing board with that one!

dont wanna be a party pooper as you've done a great job with the EA. However,I have tested it from 2008 and the results dont look that great.

There are loads of periods of growth, but equally, periods of loss.

Perhaps the settings i used (although i did try and play around with them) were not the best.

Any idea?

Don't worry about it, today seems to be the day for party poopers!

I have never claimed that this EA will give good results for ever, I only tested it over the past 12 months.

The underlying strategy looks viable over this period, is currently proving to be accurate and really that is the best we can hope for!

If you know of an EA that gives good results for several years I would be very pleased to know where I can buy it.

yes.. its impossible to find that EA which is profitable from 2008. My only fear is that what happened in 2008 an happen in 2010 too. 2009 was a relatively stable month for currencies.

The way I see it is that as we all know, anything can (and usually does) happen, but at the moment this EA is producing amazing results and so until something happens to change that, what else can we do apart from sit back and enjoy the ride!

Possible improvements have been tried and tested and none so far have been able to do just that, i.e. improve it. Maybe the market will change, maybe it won't, but if it does and starts to produce a few losers, then perhaps it'll be time to look at adapting/optimising it to suit the current market conditions more, but the here and now is that it's just an awesome little pip grabbing machine pure and simple.

However, Geoff is the man and he calls the shots, just thought I'd give my two pips worth.

A while back Geoff mentioned the vsr he's using (I think it was $75). Is anyone using another vsr to trade this EA that they're happy with?
