My live account only made one order! lol!

I think the GBP has been ranging for a couple of weeks and we are on a rising trend in the middle of the range, sounds pretty safe to me!

Hi everyone,

got some good news:
Can confirm that the EA in current version definitelly works on ECN brokers !
Started it on following accounts last night and got the 2 buy orders on all of them. It is also intersting to compare the different entry prices:

Alpari Demo
(for comparisson, dont forget they use their institutional spreads there):
1.53536

The Collective FX Demo : 1.53541
The Collective FX LIVE: 1.53538

ATC (Demo) : 1.53531

I used the "Hide Targets" setting on all accounts, and it seems to do its job : - )

As you can see, ATC got the best entry of all accounts (on Demo though), but still nice to see, even 0.5 pips better than the instituational DEMO of Alpari.

At the moment, pair is swinging around BE on all accounts,
hope there will be some up move soon, so can close trades in profit

Spread on ATC for GBPUSD is just 0.7 - 1.2 pips on average, also right now when writing this, so really good conditions for trading this EA there

Also ATC is one of the few ECN brokers with low spreads + trustable background for the security of funds (they are IB of FXCM, so the funds are held with FXCM UK)

The only downside is their minum lot size is 0.1 lots, so rather
only useable for larger deposits, eg USD 5000 (which is their minimum) and up.

First target hit.....22 pips...

second target hit trailing stop....was always going to struggle to hit the second one...

One long hit TP this morning. All winners so far, sweet.

I was thinking one thing... most of the times the trades seems negative and then turn positive. I might be wrong, but I could easily open a manual trade and catch this swing doubling the green pips this way. I refrained from doing this until now. Do you think this might be a good strategy or it's too risky?

Geoff, would you reccomend to disable the EA today? I don't think it will open any trade, though I might be wrong.

No, the EA won't trade until Sunday open and I am quite happy to rely on it now, it is looking very reliable!

On my first trade using this strategy, I manually entered 0.1 lot - $1/pip - on the GbpUsd at 2345GMT (a little late...) and just gained 20 pips on my live forex.com/uk account! I'll use the EA next week with confidence! Entry at 1.5359, tp set to 20 pips, closed at 1.5379, 639GMT. It took awhile... That's 11:39pm here in Northern California. Time to shut it down for the night!

Looks like pips for all this day!

Will you be running the EA on Sunday evening given that it is a Bank Holiday in the UK on Monday? I will probably let it run on demo but switch off the live account.

Thank you for your kind words!

The TP of 22 and TSL 22 on the first order were arrived at by optimisation of the past 12 months data and certainly this week they have worked perfectly.

The move against us during the Asian session happens quite often, but so does the reversal in the last hour of the Asian session then the continuation of the original trend during the London session.

That is the key. When you run backtests to do not choose days of week to run it. The same should be done during forward test. We should trust the system we trade, otherwise it does not even worth to try.

Yes, I will be running the EA, ok the volume will be low on Monday but we are not looking for many pips so why miss the opportunity?

In back-testing the EA has gone through bank holidays, so why not do the same in forward testing?

One thing to remember, if the orders don't reach TP or SL they will continue into the next day or until they are closed manually.
