coke is that traditional for H&S patterns.... the distance from top of head to neckline represents the target pip aim once neckline is broken?

Technically speaking yes, but you have to keep in mind S&R levels as well.

SL taken care of the short that didnt fly. just a little one so only a couple of quid lost.

If usd/chf hits 1.0700 that will bring this pair around 1.3410-20 and would be great shorting opportunity while both 4 hr stoch and rsi might be in sync (and some div in place as well) in that time (Asia session).

question - is the old inv. H &S still valid even though we have had a few days since? can this neckline still be 'broken' or is it void after not breaking it first time?

for the moment it stalls at this morning (end of asia ) high and below the daily high... if there is no clear and strong break of 1.34 in asia i don t see why one should go long
