Trade just how FJ laid out. It is very effective and you will also get a good understanding of price action.

Hello,

First of, let me join the many traders who have expressed gratitude to FJ for sharing his strategy, thank you FJ and thank you all who have contributed here. I recently read the whole thread over a couple of days and now I'm just starting going back to try to better absorb the more important bits.

It would be great to have a live chat going again for those of us who did not get a chance to attend it a year ago; I think given that the system has a discretionary component, it would be of great benefit to watch FJ and other traders who are able to succesfully implement this strategy trade it live.

FJ, do you see that as a possibility?

FJ has not posted here for some time now. We figure he is enjoying profits somewhere. He has poped in once ia a while.

The system works well. Post any questions you have there are those who watch the thread who may be able to help you out.

Here's a snapshot of a trade I took this morning (GMT). I went long on all signals aligned plus a bounce off daily support. Initial SL @ 20 pips was moved to 10 as the trade went 10 pips in-the-money and further moved to b/e. Scaled out accordingly with FJ's suggestions, 50% @ 10 pips, 30% @ 20 pips. I closed out the balance as shown in the attached graph for 2 reasons: MA's crossed and upside seemed heavily capped by both daily and weekly pivots acting as resistance. All in all + 13 pips.

Basic signals could have had me reverse on exit but I noticed a bullish hidden divergence so I stayed flat.

Congrats.... You took pips out of some flatness. Even caught the low of the day. which lines up very close to the low of the previous day. It was a great spot for a bounce.

FJ often traded off trend lines. I don't know if he would have taken that one or not. Lately I have been taking bounces like that as well, especially with all the inside days we are having.

You may recall from the thread post #2194 where FJ laid out the fibo scalper. You basically did that one. I was triming a house or probably would have taken that trade myself. I have had a lot going on these past few weeks and have not been able to put on any trades. Just been doing a lot of chart watching when I get a chance. Tonight I hope to be able to get into the market.

Hi,

I am sorry if this seems a stupid question but please bear with me i have only just started to study forex for about 3 weeks now.

I was wondering if someone could tell me how you can back test this system on metatrader 4?

It may have already been posted on here but I could of missed it!

Many people think that back-testing is a waste of time.

Forward test on demo. That is real.

I'm reading this thread from the beginning again. In post 248 quoted above, why isn't the black 6th candle from the right a valid signal? Can anybody explain?

I think the sixth is a valid signal after it closed. I would believe that the reason He would not have taken it is cause of the TWO trendlines under it. Also, remember, we trade with the trend, if it is an up day, he would not short.

Thanks for your answer simpleguy. I thought the system is used on trend reversal trades quite a bit though, where did he say that he does not trade against the trend?

I traded with him when he had the live chat rooms and he talk about it in there. He would trade the reverses but it had to be a lot of points of S/R in one place and a dramatic move/correction back in a different direction, then he would. Myeslf and a lot of other members would play the reverses off of it.

If you are new make sure you spend about a month just doing the basic/beginner version. Watch how the market moves off of Pivots, points of support and resistence, how it reacts to news events. Find one pair and TF and stick to it. I personally think, (for that is worth) that this is one of the best learning systems there is, but I learned how to trade off of this.

Also, go back and read all of Jedi's and Robdee's posts. chowclown had some pretty good one's also.

Also, create a trading journal, something simple on excel is all you need. use it and be honest with yourself, even harsh. You are starting down a long hard road, but a road that you can beat if you are didicated. I've been on it for a good year and half pretty hard and can tell the difference from when I thought I knew what I was doing 3-6 months in to now. I wonder how much I will laugh at myself in 5 more years.

Sound advice, thank you Simpleguy. Out of curiosity, how was the live chat working out? How long did it go on for? Were you guys consistently profitable?

The live chat went for about four or five months I guess. It carried on for 24 hrs a day, always was someone in there to chat with about the system. I would say that 25% of the traders were very proftiable, 25% were doing well, anoterh 25% flirting with the break even trading area, and another 25% pure newbies. The problem was that they tried to release a new system full of indies and looked and sounded really cool and from what I could tell it just flopped. then people started to come in and troll and attack jedi and he finally got mad and left, pretty much never to be heard from again. Nice guy though, helped me personally a lot.

It was a great learning experience and wish I had those guys all back here to learn from again. It was great experience learning from professionals.

I will never understand why people will at tmes take it upon themselves to attack success. Maybe jealousy.

Have not seen much activity in this area for awhile. I am guessing that people are moving around looking at system after system, just hoping around. I understand why people do that, someone is trying to show you how to do great doing XYZ, or this indi or that indi. I honestly look at other threads to see if I can learn some thing new from someone, new way at looking at trading but I have it fit into my style of trading.

Few things to remember:

Price is King, study price action/movement
find one pair and stick to it
find one TF and stick to it
Master one trading entry and stick to it.
some of my favorites: Trend line bounces, triangle breaks, 123, S/R levels, Pin Bars

All of these are what we are trying to learn, find the best possible entry with the highest probability of being profitable. Then run a Money Management system that meets your risk tolerance (doesn't scare the crap out of you) and keeps your bottom line moving up. by learning how to read price, you can be successful in most markets!

Started demo trading it yesterday and already made some nice pips (+10,+10,-10,+35). I really enjoy the simplicity of this system.

Well I'm not sure what you are looking for Alex? How many of your trades are winners vs Losers? It would be easier to help you if you would put your screen shots up and let us review your trades to see what your doing. I'm about 50-50 on my trades, but my winners about better than my losers by about 2-1 so It is very profitable.

Again put some screen shots up and we will help you out.
