Jhig, it's not an investment, just a trade lasting a year. The same kings of trades that I'd make for intraday or swing positions. Point was that you don't need to trade throughout the day or even every day to make a healthy amount. But then we all have our own preferences and strategies.

Long way to go but if we can get a daily close in the area of 1.3460 or higher...i think we have enough momentum & see this moving up to 1.3525 area....

Mr J, if there isn't anything to trade then I don't trade open any positions. In fact, I find days like this to be wonderful for me ... it's almost like a mini vacation. I don't need to always be in the market and don't envy traders that do.

My strategy is pretty laxed. I only aim for 10-20 pips a trades. Eur/Usd ususally provided two-three successful setups for me a day. Because of this I don't care for greed. I get in and get out and don't hold positions for no longer than I have to. I'd rather trade a 500,000 contract @ 10-20pips a day then 100,000 contract @ +100pips a day. I realized a few year ago, its not how many pips you earn but how much money you put behind those pips.

Okay, I see what you mean. All I'm getting at is that the 'reason' behind the currency swings in 08 was due to bank/mortgage crisis here no?

in my opinion, this makes it NOT NOISE; instead real issue or it actually was the underlying issue. Maybe you, I or others saw it coming...doesn't matter, all I was saying is it's not noise.

Same with the greek issue in my opinion. This 'noise' could go on for months/years...

I thought that 'noise' was more of a BS reason that banks or whoever puts out to move price where they want?

I don't think that is what has been happening the last 6 months...these are real issues.

EDIT: In short what I'm asking is...

If greece and all is just noise. What is the 'real' underlying issue for this major drop in Euro? I mean, you don't really think that they are pushing this thing down to buy at 1.32 for a final push back up to 1.6 do you?

Just returned! Hoping to see this at 1,33xx by now! What went wrong (besides my strategy)??

Why is this thing going up, any hot info about Greece or Portugal? No money needed to rescue them after all? Can anyone shed some light on this up trend?

Damn! I am already in the red zone with 25 pips...!

gu having trouble in gap filling , fall again & again . Now in H1 a sell setup near perfection , last candle to go up as far possible & next retracement again . over 50 min remain though for the up play.In m15 tf again a sell signal confirmed , again pressure retracement now .
anyway , a rally up anytime can solve the problem & all down next . gj also similar & eu up as the 3rd son .

gj going some up clearly filled the gap now 141.55 & also helping gu some up too.lets take it 1.5374 & done now 1.5315.only 20min close the candle , may not that much & will place some pending shorts above all pairs ,eu,gu,gj,gold for next day

i think e/u might retest its support around 3250 - but wouldnt count on it... pending for almost 3 months now...

A. Dip to .3417 area back up to .3469 area by midnight then drop rapidly to .3355
B. We drop from here right now.
C. Drift sideways till midnight then drop
D. None of the above, we go bull style and I'm screwed.

A would be cool cause I can squeeze in an extra trade.
I figure C cause it should be quiet till Asian sesh. B would be cool cause I can stop staring at this and chillax for rest of night.
I don't want to talk about D.

Have to re calculate as I go along. my main top and next move remain the same juts minor fluctuation in how we getting there. Why you sweating the nickles and dimes. Just take the bits of what I'm saying that make sense to you and discard the rest. My weekly prediction posted yesterday is now invalid though it's forces prolly effect and have pull on the new time line. If you don't want to listen hit the ignore button, otherwise stop your whining. Or say something useful that JUSTIFIES KEEPING YOU AROUND.

Thanks , can't find the post . anyway I am done with all pendings shorts & only long continued for the gap filling for gu .

Anyway good trading/scalping today though very troublesome or better avoid such days to preserve energy.Hope there will be good valalities next day onwards , though prices minimally retraced up.
