What's Wyckoff ?
Ignored
wyckoff spring, look it up. It happened today on 5 minute chart when I posted. Basically price has to form either a wedge or be going down continuously then make 2-3 bottoms andthen followed by a headfake move to the lows again, which normally is quite sharp, just like today. When you see that the probability is in bulls favour & price shoots up on short squeezing. A very powerful counter trend formation.

But it was counter trend so I didn't commit full size and stop was also rather narrow. I am still looking for some sort of failure near 1.37-1.38 to initiate a full short position.
Prices oscillate, trends persist. Trend is your friend.

I am out of EU. It hasn't shown sufficient strength for me today. Waiting for better levels.

Sky, you may want to keep in mind that if the CFTC decides to go ahead and reduce leverage to 10:1, having a US based broker will be put you out of business, or make it very difficult to do business in the best case scenario. For that reason I decided to go with 2 european based brokers.

Keep your eyes open, it is not just about knowing how to trade well, there are other factors that can influence your sucess. Good luck.

ok I understand ur point if I lock my 100-150pip loss as a hedge I just keep on trading normal as if this position wouldnt be there. So if it is clear we go further up lets say 300 pips I'll be long with another trade and keep on taking them in until we come back down again. Honestly I dont believe we get a 300pip move up, Greece is in no way done with it nor is portugal and the rest of the piigs we will see new lows on a daily. Still the hedge is just a protection of further loss no more then that.

Also look at where I am starting to hedge its...

There is no gain by hedging with same currency, the only reason it is allowed is so broker gets more spread paid. The logical thing to do would be to close the trade and reenter at the same point you would have closed the hedge trade you were making. You might end up paying more interest, you're tying up margin that could be better spent making money, and if a person uses subaccounts one could end up getting a margin call unless money is transferred between.

Real hedging is done using options and/or correlated pairs. I think people primarily hedge within same currency so they don't get that psychologically damaging realized loss
