May be much better than expected. My cousin works for employment group here in Battle Creek, and he said they have been hiring like crazy the last 2 months. Post, Kelloggs, TRMI, II Stanley, Denso, Masashi, Azmo, all have been hiring through temp agencies in the last 2 months and steady picking up. Granted most of them are automotive related, being that most of the jobs here are factory related, but may be street level signs of a recovery.

GU 25 pip break north. eu didn't help but price made a new high and now sits above 100% fib of the april 12 high.

Hey board, I am a newbie to this forum. Been trading for a few years now. keeping it simple. I have a question for anyone who would like to answer!

What is the best time frame to use fibs with? and also I have been using a simple MACD and 200 EMA, but idk which time frame is best for those indicators, and if i use the "00" round numbers theory which is the best indicator to see if momentum has a chance to push thru the "00" or pivot points? Thanks!

my perception is that they are working best from 1H onwards. S/R based on fibs gets stronger, the higher the timeframe they're deriving from.
Possibly gator could add a few things.

EU poised for a big move downward if we break 1.36420

Hi and welcome JoNoRe,

I use 200 ema on both H4 and daily charts as they seem to indicate s/r on both timeframes. Due to the huge and sudden gap last weekend, on the H4 eu is stuck above the 200ema, which may be ONE of the reasons the gap hasn't been closed.

As to fibs it depends on your trading style, but you can probably use them on most time frames. I mostly use fib on H4, daily and also H1.

EUR/USD - to trade with positive bias. Pair underpinned by broadly weak USD undertone, EUR demand for long-EUR carry trades on improved investor risk appetite, strong 0.9% on-month gain in euro-zone February industrial production for fastest pace in almost 2 years (vs +0.2% expected). But EUR/USD gains tempered by upbeat U.S. economic data, persistent worries over euro-zone sovereign debt: Moody's said yesterday there's 50% chance of Greek rating downgrade in next 12-18 months, markets worried of possible delay in any aid package as some countries need parliamentary approval before lending money to Greece, while attention intensified on Portugal's fiscal situation after European Commission said yesterday country might need to take further steps to cut its budget deficit. EUR/USD daily chart positive-biased as MACD & stochastics in bullish mode. Resistance at 1.3678 (yesterday's high); breach would target 1.3691 (Monday's high), then 1.3817 (March 17 reaction high), 1.3839 Feb. 9 reaction high) and 1.3983 (38.2% Fibonacci correction of 1.5144-1.3265 Nov. 25-March 25 decline). Well I closed out my long at 3647 from 3601. Feeling okay...not really kicking myself too hard for not closing at 3664. Tomorrow's another day.

BTW, does anyone here think we're still in a downtrend? Cause I don't believe so anymore. I think that move is officially over. I cite the RSI on the daily being crossed and now sitting above 50 for the first time since the move started back in December. I'd post my chart, but I'm typing this from my phone. But I can tell you I have the RSI set to 21. I noticed it made several attempts over the past few months to cross 50 but was always rejected, resulting in one of those famous 'big drops' we've become accustomed to since December. Personally, I think those days are over, as I look forward to big surges in the near future.

1.38 is on the horizon, and IMO it will get there.

I'm not saying if it doesn't go one way it will go another, that's obvious. My point is it will make a move of 150+ pips within that hour.

Are you confident in your statement enough to go long?
