there is a clear Double Bottom and support and resistence lines
would like to hear about yours analysis

Yes, I second that, DP has been the perfect example of a person coming to this thread and just taking it in for what it is without any doubt!

We can all learn from manner in which DP just gave himself to the system without too much questioning.

A fine example, and we can see now that he is moving because he just bought a much bigger house with the proceeds from his sonic trades.

You are opening a can of worms, amlavor. Since the market is in the asian session lull, here is some background...

Some time ago I worked up a preliminary "Market Info Label" to put in the upper left of chart instead of the MT4 OHLC line that is there. The idea was to have something easier to see in postings, that would show Symbol, TF, Spread, Range, Time To Next Candle, and the Current Bid Price. I sent this preliminary to someone here who fortunately never used it in posts, as this has undergone a lot of change. And that is what this rambling is all about; how a simple idea can expand and expand.....and expand!

Well, the "Market Info Label" was simple enough, but then I tinkered with the range calculation code. Now, in its final form it eliminates all the brief Sunday sessions some brokers have, and substitutes subsequent full trading days into the formula. This prevents the average calculated from being dragged down by small range brief Sunday sessions.

Then I wondered if maybe the P4L Clock should be included. There is a lot of extraneous coded features in that indicator. Eventually, however, the "Market Panel Clock" came into being containing only the code necessary to support the display.

Then an idea came to me to have range lines on the chart, based on the range shown in the "Market Info Label". The RgH line would always be the range distance above the session low. The RgL line would always be below the session high. They would move during a session as new highs or lows were achieved. The "Market Panel wRange Lines" was born, replacing the "Market Info Label"!

Knowing how important it is to wait thru the asian session until the Frankfurt and London markets open, it seemed a good idea to have an indicator that would put vertical lines on the chart at these times. The more work put into the indicator, the bigger the code became. Now the user can input both labels and times for the number of vlines permitted by the code, not being restricted to just the default settings for the market open lines/times. Then came code to display same for previous session. Then came code to add session start and stop lines for previous and current sessions...."Market Open Times" (phew!)

And, I never liked some things in the FFCal code... and when events arrive and are replaced with whatever comes next, the old lines are not immediately cleared. Instead, they remain for a while under the new text. Thus, the "FFCal Headlines" came to being, listing the next two events in different colors for high, medium, and no impact items. The "Previous" and "Forecast" items are gone, as who really cares what they are.....we just need to know when an event is to take place, not try to predict results based on such data.

And, I continue to tinker with all these items, until I am satisfied. And while doing that, what about the sacred Dragon! Instead of using the ema formula, how about applying a unique math formula that increases responsiveness while smoothing the lines?

So, my friend. You ask about a portion of an experimental chart. I truely appreciate your interest. It validates my thinking that such would be of value to all Sonikers......an attempt to keep a chart as clean as possible while displaying important information.

More time is needed for completion, however, and including the indy you inquire of. Thank you for noticing and asking about it.

And when all this expansion is finished (is it ever?), I will probably go back to using a bare chart!

Yeah, I am the guilty one. LoL

I think I mentioned to you that the only thing I don't like about the indicator is the solid background. I just have this thing about not being able to see what is behind it even if it was long in the past.
That is why I continue to use the P4 clock, the THV price and the spread indicator.

Anyway, I was just about to ask about the EU, as NVO seems to suggest we are seeing little spikes pumping this to where price is currently at which is the lower High of the big picture. The 1.3700 is less than 50 pips away.

You think we are setting up for a a decent short?

NVO is indeterminant right now. I have no thoughts other than to wait and see which way PA goes as we enter prime hours. And if it goes down, then maybe the 1.3420s is a target.....bisector of "W", a common occurance for PA to pull back to there.

I noticed the Levels x8 lines not filling your screen. Open the indicator window and change the default setting from "3" to "6". That should do it, but you can increase it as you like.

Hi guys, been a long while since I have posted. I have not been trading much due to work commitments. But I have been constantly following the charts with little indicators. I have not found much success trading Sonic last year despite seeing the waves. I have been following all the posts all this while, and seeing so many of you making good trades are a good motivation to try harder.

I know my flaws are not leaving the trade to move its course (solution is cut trade size real small). And secondly I leave too tight stops. (solution is to leave stops far away at swing H/L).

Im happy to see Danpa doing well as I had noticed his postings since he started were very simple, straight forward and clear, like many of the guys here. I will try to make a return to trading as soon as possible and hope to join in the pip run.

Your point is well taken, amlavor. As I just posted in reply to Rastaman, I have no thoughts but to wait and see. The Daily trend is down, and more may follow. Yet the Double Bottom constitutes very bullish PA. We might get some action both ways......a pullback to the bisector area of the "W" that created the Double Bottom, and then a move up possibly constituting a trend reversal. In the immediate term, it is "wait and see".

Yes, it is RANGES above and below the base range.....you pick how many extra you want ABOVE and BELOW the base range (the 0-100 that price is currently in).

Presently, it looks like you are at the default of "3", which places three extra ranges above and three extra below. Changing that to "6" should add plently to do the trick. Try it and see what it takes.

This one has been bugging me for several sessions, but I now realize why I remain bullish on it. If that sentiment is wrong, then I'd best have a tight SL on my trade, because when this pops, it will likely double its range in one move.

And that is the reason for this post. Looking back on PA history, recently each time PA settled down to ranging thru multiple sessions, a big move of 150+ pips followed. For the last several sessions, PA has varied only about 50-60 pips from the PPZ, just enough movement to keep some speculators happy, I guess.....while waiting for.......?
