why no 19.6 or 19.8?

For the intraday picture, yes exactly like yours Mr. C. For the 4 hour chart, I simply had the basis of a possible triangle or channel but I see your diamond now.
Do you attach much importance to the direction the longest diagonal is pointing towards?

I do. But at the moment the most important things are the MMs. These so called diamonds still need some more confirmation to be taken as the real ones.

Thank you for your answer. So going long at around 1.5180 just because the diagonal is pointing down is not a very good idea as all the MM are down.

It's not the diagonal itself why I'm staying short for a while. Counter trending is always a bit risky thing to do. Where would you put your SL here? My opinion a safe place would be somewhere below 1.5129. So R:R wouldn't be nice for me as I would get out at the top of a possible diamond. IMO it still needs some time and our patience to reveal what's happening on the G/U.

Attached is a chart of GBPUSD where am I correct in saying that because the Adr was acheived early in the day on the past 2 days that we could have taken a trade back towards the open price? These would have been against the main moves.

IMO, taking a position based solo on excessive range will not yield very well. You'll need other technical clues too.

See Attachment. I think it will be useful for you as it will show you why we shouldn't rely solely on ADR. I made simple analysis of Swissy. If you look it through you will understand that the price stays within (don't exceed) its ADR only in 63% cases. Other 37% cases exceed ADR. Admit that the figure is quite significant. The analysis made according to statisics, although it's a bit rough.

As for Cable and other pairs, I think it's the same.

Not the smartest idea to take positions towards the open price only based on the ADR. But as I can see now it was the best and only place to get out of trades #2 or #3 inside the formation. Sitting on trade #3 as I missed the exit.
