The RangesAboveBelowBaseRange parameter is supposed to do something similar to what you want but it works over ranges instead of counting lines. And it seems offset to one side of the bid. I tried to tweek the code but it did not respond as expected so I'll have to figure out how it works in more detail before I can mod it.

Yes, that was the idea but the implementation turned out to be non-trivial so I left it for later. Sorry! I'll also add vertical lines on the chart and maybe auto-DST by and by.

1) How to calculate tokyo channel?
2) What is the GMT equivalent of tokyo channel?
3) Is there any indicator avialble to calculate tokyo channel?

I believe the indicator posted by NeoRio (MktOpen-CH.mq4) exactly the same as the tokyo channel is. NeoRio please confim.

The Tokyo channel starts at the beginning of the New Zealand - Wellington - open (or Australia - Sydney - open) and ends at New York Midnight. You need to calculate those times based on your own time zone and daylight savings time. You can use this indicator to draw the channel on your chart. You need to input the correct times for your TZ:

I justed to thank you for all of the hard work on the new indicators this week. I really like the BN indi and the ability to turn on/off midrange numbers, which I don't use. I only use 20,50, 80, 00.
Nice work on the dasbboard! I moved mine to the far right and played around with the settings - good stuff!

Ranga, I'll have a new template posted by tonight hopefully, with Xaphod's great Dashboard and his other custom indicators he's made for this trading method. The template will also have the Tokyo Channel already plotted on the chart just like the last 2 versions of the template I've posed also had the TC correctly plotted.

OK, here's the latest version of the CH template. A HUGE thanks to Xaphod for his excellent work on the Dashboard, and the other custom indicators.

The zip file has all the updated indicators you'll need to make the template work properly. Be sure to check out the M1 TF for instructions if you need them.

Xaphod, i compared ADR values between your dashboard and stratman's and i see differences. TDR and YD are the same but ADR5 and ADR20 numbers are not the same. Maybe your ADR also counts Sunday's and therefore these numbers are lower.



I counted ADR for last 5 days and when i include Sunday it gives me 106 - the same value as in your dashboard, so if you could please correct that mistake.

I noticed in post #1531 bythepound is using the DMI (directional movement) function of the ADX indicator. I was planning to mention that indicator here as a good helper for anyone needing a little more info on which direction price is moving. It's standard in MetaTrader. I set mine to 35 to filter fake-outs, and check it on 1, 5 and 15 minutes. On the lower timeframes, I look for one DMI line to be above 20, and the other below. The actual ADX line is fairly slow and only good for long trends.

As far as direction, I also wanted to mention fractal breaks. As far as I know, fractals came from the Bill Williams system, which is detailed here:

I have noticed it is a good idea to keep an eye out for breaks of recent highs and lows in conjunction with the basic CH reversal. After the Tokyo Channel closes, many of the major pairs will have a high and/or low that has been around for a while on the M15, sometimes H1 (long red and blue dotted lines if you are using the fractal support/resistance indicator). Breaks of these with a big move often occur just before or after the London open. Definitely check out the S/R setup on some past weeks looking for movies up through a red line and moves down through blue. Sometimes a pair will make a break like this and move it's full range. Smaller breaks of S/R occur throughout the session in M5.

usdcad - 12 pips

usdjpy - 13 pips

for a total of 25 pips.

Here are the trades today. I only took one of them.

eurjpy - 21 ( I took this one, did not close out for the 21 pips)

eurusd - 39 Missed this trade, busy

usdchf - 30 Missed this trade, busy.

For a total of 90 pips minus the spreads.

Just closed my eurjpy for 18 pips. Nice. Up 1.796% this week. On 2 trades. Account up 14.599% since March 17, 2010, only taking 23.6%. Not even a month. Nice

I was also looking for 23.6% trades and found that audusd looked like being a good one, but it went only 7 pips and then reversed.

Any comments about that trade?
