I think i got caught with that spike that reached my stop loss, and I'm noticing in the chart above that such thing never existed...
so what is the lowest for the day,,, more precisely at 17:28 EST. thanks


PS: My stop loss was 1.34746

Yeah, not on my chart either.
And, price only fell to 1.3480.

Is that company OD*? L

MB Trading actually...

and you know what else? in my 2 demo account, my charts looks just like yours, or that low spike never happened,,,,, and with that I lost my money and over 35 pips profit....

FXDD shows 1.3483 as the lowest at 17:31. I have to tell you though, that comparing InterbankFX to FXDD, sometimes the prices did not agree. What that means, therefore, is that trading in different areas (or networks that each server represents) may actually be at different prices!!!! Just like volumes that are shown by different servers varies, so may the prices....maybe not by much, but such an event as you experienced live may actually have happened in the trading network your server is tied into, whereas other networks/servers never experienced it. The forext market is not so highly regulated as is the stock market. There is no universal volume. What "volume" there is is actually no more than a count of trades and ignores the size of the trades. Apparently, there is no universal pricing either. The "local" market represented by each server may actually experience different pricing than another market/server......though you'd think that such an occurance would be infrequent, brief, and involve minimal differences.

Well, there is no way to fight with those guys anyway, even though the charts on the demo account looks like all other charts and the lowest price was around 80' they do not have answer for that, just keep saying that was a good execution,,, and was "for them" I just left off wining 38 pips + loss of 14 pips,
by the way...

I think having a SL on a trade held over weekend is not a good thing. Perhaps some brokers take stock of where SLs are and execute quick pice movements early in the open of the new week. It is a time of little overall trading activity, so they can move the price cost effectively to take out nearby stops.

I agree with T,,,It may vary from broker to broker but only marginally.

The thing to do is take your money out and get a better broker.

Never touched 1.3471 on my live accounts Oanda and Interactive Brokers...it might be the different server thing, not necessarily a spike done on purpose.

R, you know what i saw and learn in all those months of Sonic systems? That there is an SL or TP! And if you dare you can win, if not...well, everything else is only analysis who can really paralysis you !

I want to......But my trigger finger is stuck.

I do not work just, do this all day.

Perhaps, I spend too much time studying this or that and not enough time pulling the trigger.

My wife has been going through a bad time this last month or so and it has sort of mentally knocked me off balance.

I am going to sort this out ASAP, now that she is getting better.

Unfortunately I took a snooze and missed TP1 at quarter level. Now I am not sure to just exit, or wait to see if it drops towards Friday lows.....
