My point is that market will move where it wants and when it wants, regardless of the news. There are little news releases which would cause REAL moves (Again, bid rates come to my mind).

Plus, usually big boys know or sense a bit more then you and me in advance and news are often priced in even before release.

To trade or not to trade? Depends. Rules do not apply today, if you like to play casino - go ahead, place some bet. Just make sure it is very small.
Also remember, even if you get jackpot: You where just lucky and luck is not a valid trading strategy, it can be a certain part of it (i know many totally deny this) but only smallllll one

The key data release on Friday will be the US NFPs, and it will be interesting to see what type of a number is produced, particularly in light of the softer ADP release earlier this week. Australian, New Zealand, and European financial markets were closed on Friday for the Easter break and many markets will not fully resume trade until Tuesday, April 6. On the day thus far, all major currencies are tracking slightly to moderately lower against the buck.

Perhaps some of the USD buying can be attributed to the sneaky and under the radar last minute announcement by the Fed to hold a meeting “under expedited procedures” at 15:30GMT on Monday, on the subject of a “review and determination by the Board of Governors of the advance and discount rates to be charged by Federal Reserve Banks.” The last time the Fed did something like this, resulted in a hike in the discount rate, and given this latest development, we would not at all be surprised to see the Fed pull another move like this on the holiday thin Monday session. While we can make no determinations at this point, it is definitely a development worth noting.

If they raise discount rate Euro will tumble again, fundamentally that's the only direction it has to move on such news.

USD/JPY volatility should be pretty high...I expect a 70 pips rise if the news is good..with a small deviaton put before..ofc..then retrace then reenter for another spike up..

We could get a "surprise" discount-rate hike by the FED on Monday - so things could get volatile there
