The divided opinion of the forex world around the current state of eurousd is a prime example of a major support resistance.

Whether you think it will go up or down, both can seem right at this point. So just be careful and limit losses. These are definately one of those times to sit and watch. If you are intraday trading it doesn't matter much to you. Just go on doing what you do. But if you trade longer than intraday, you should be well ready to take a loss at any direction

The only worrying thing I have on the daily and weekly charts is that the recent uptrend is founded on lower volume. A breakout should always be accompanied by increasing heavy volume for it to be valid. But who knows... maybe the volume will pick up next week.

Either way, since I'm already in a position, I'm having very tight stoplosses. I want to get out until a clearer picture forms -_-. Hopefully it happens this week.

the bulls will do everything they can to hold this POS up until Wednesday... ultimately Friday.

however... that will be quite a tall order... and even if they do....

should the advance numbers on Wednesday even hint of the possibility of job growth... ohhhh... can you say...

2.5

on the flip side... if the bulls can keep it up... AND the job numbers suck... we could see some euro bullishness.

either way... heading into Wednesday could get very choppy.

Mike

Looking for my pending sell to trigger, then holding for the rest of week. Moved sell back to 3495. Target for Friday. 3100 and averaging up every 100 pips. Have a good night.

"Japan Industrial Output Misses Forecast" = higher JPY, that's how

rational markets are.. Miss forecast= bad for markets, buy JPY/USD

Then I guess EU should move down from there as well..

It does look toppy but we're dealing with the nice round number of 3500, so perhaps it will take a few attempts to push through it. I'm still waiting!

In case he isn't around, he posted it a couple weeks back. the one with the news events on it. you can either search by his username and go back a few weeks or just look for the attachments in this thread...edit: if you go and click that little paper clip at the top/right of the thread. click "hide images"...if memory serves it's that one that says "news reader" it's on march 17th. if not , just look through a few that say "news" or "calender" and you'll find it

I see the selloff on jpy pairs, and waiting for the retracement. For me there is a chance it passes the 61.8% from the last downmove 124.73-124.19. If it does, we`d find the downmove as an opportunity to fill longs on usdjpy.

But in any posibility, JPY pairs wont take the usd pairs down, it doenst make any sense. They could make the correlation get lost. If the usd pairs gets down is because of EUR,GBP,CHF weakness and on the JPY, you would see it more clearly

Entered long UJ @ 92.28. Very little risk as it just bounced off major s/r line. Let's see how this plays out LT as I've been watching this pair for a couple months

jpy pairs and usd pairs move same way - look at 2008 crash - anyway, the correlation between usd and jpy pairs are similar

They have some correlation but is never a good one, not like chf-eur or aud-nzd. JPY and USd pairs are 70-80% correlation, not more than that. And im telling you, just when the other currency is weak. We are going to see a downmove on eurusd, but not because of the sellof from jpy pairs, which I dont buy it. I see it as an opportunity to try a long sl below the last downmove. Just like ledobedo and me on eurjpy at 124.31 sl 124.10. It is working, it got to the 50% on 124.73-124.16, then retrace to the 38% and then up again
