I gave up trying to predict long term moves quite a while ago. I prefer to make money both directions and I rather like closing out all my trades by the end of the week. Less stress

I really don't see it going much higher than 3450, but if it breaks then 3540 is possible. I have stops in place above the 3620's+. I don't hold on to non-preforming trades long term, but I do build into positions WITH the trend on a retrace.

I'll post a chart on this later but if you look at the break out week from 1/17/2010 on the similar formation you will see it did the same thing... Went down and retraced 200 pips before falling again.


Edit: Look at the weekly charts to see what I'm talking about on that retrace.

3440 should stop it. an SL above there, and shorts should be fine. i think this forum needs a fundamental thread or something, cause that's what i hear a lot on this thread.

Lots of people have the idea that because the fed printed a lot of money it is going to cause an immediate rapid devaluation of the dollar. There are two problems with that. One is Brenton Woods, the world needs a lot of oil so dollars are not like some banana farm, the world has to have them.

The second thing is the problem of seeing the market as completely free to work off of supply and demand as some god. The dollar will tank when it is supposed to and not one second before. The dollar still has a few tricks left to perform on the world stage before its usefulness is outlived.

This down trend continues until it does not.

nov high was like this so was 1.6.. both made a last spike then lower. i never knew there was a pattern name for this. i called them bart simpsons because of shape (barts hair). or bs for short.. maybe i should read some books.. we will see.. i will not hold a losser more then 3%,,, keep me informed. i still see the 1.6 pattern as incomplete. but will bail if pa dictates.. i have seen a bs go both ways..(bi sexual)

Did not price broke the support to much and is now testing it as a resistance. Downside should be more flat (like Bart) with no such deep brake below support. Or not?

Obama's plan is actually Hillary's plan. He was against the mandate during the election!

Johnson said let’s make Medicare voluntary. Now, if you want to say that we shouldn’t try to get everyone into health insurance, that’s a big difference.
OBAMA: I believe that if we make it affordable, people will purchase it. In fact, Medicare Part B is not mandated, it is voluntary. And yet people over 65 choose to purchase it, Hillary, and the reason they choose to purchase it is because it’s a good deal. And if people end up seeing a plan that is affordable for them, I promise you they are snatching it up because they are desperate to get health care. And that’s what I intend to provide as president of the United States.

OBAMA: If we don’t know the level of subsidies that [Hillary’s plan is] going to provide, then you can have a situation, which we are seeing right now in the state of Massachusetts, where people are being fined for not having purchased health care but choose to accept the fine because they still can’t afford it, even with the subsidies. And they are then worse off. They then have no health care and are paying a fine above and beyond that. And the last point I would make is, the insurance companies actually are happy to have a mandate. The insurance companies don’t mind making sure that everybody has to purchase their product. That’s not something they’re objecting to.
CLINTON: And under my plan, it is affordable because, number one, we have enough money in our plan. A comparison of the plans like the ones we’re proposing found that actually I would cover nearly everybody at a much lower cost than Sen. Obama’s plan.
