The euro fell against the dollar and yen in Asia Thursday as news that Greece may seek help from the International Monetary Fund caused currency players to offload the single currency.

Dealers said the downward pressure on the currency will continue for now because many players had bought the euro on views that Greece's fiscal problems would be solved without the need for stringent fiscal and monetary policy measures.
Earlier in Asian trading, falling Tokyo stock prices caused foreign hedge funds, Japanese institutional investors and interbank dealers to sell the euro, traders said.
But the pace of the selling accelerated as news broke that Greek may seek financial help from the International Monetary Fund over the April 2-4 Easter weekend due to little hope for aid from the European Union.
A senior Greek official told Dow Jones Newswires that the prospect of help from the European Union "doesn't look good" and that IMF help would be a prominent scenario if EU help is not forthcoming.
The euro fell by half a cent, and by seven-tenths of a yen, to lows of $1.3670 and Y123.25 respectively after the news at around 0455 GMT. The single currency was at $1.3737 and at Y124.01 late Wednesday in New York.
Dealers said the European unit could keep falling to $1.3600 and Y122.50 later in the global day.
"If the IMF plays a major role in the Greek rescue, it will likely require the country to take very stringent" steps, said Mitsuru Sahara, senior dealer at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ. "This would drag down the Greek economy more, at least temporarily, than (if it had the) E.U.'s help, pushing the euro lower."
Still, dealers said that U.S. economic data could provide some support for the euro over the coming week if the data come in better than expected, helping to push Wall Street and other share markets higher and enabling players to increase holdings of riskier units such as the single currency.
The data include consumer price index for February and weekly jobless claims, both due at 1230 GMT Thursday. February existing home sales on Tuesday and durable goods on Wednesday are also on players' watch lists.
Economists polled by Dow Jones Newswires said February CPI may rise to 0.1% compared with a 0.2% gain in January. U.S. jobless claims are likely to have increased by 455,000 last week, compared with a 462,000 rise two weeks before. Elsewhere, the dollar stood at Y90.18 as of 0600 GMT, slightly down from its New York level of Y90.25 Wednesday. The ICE Dollar Index, which tracks the U.S. currency against a trade-weighted basket of currencies, was at 79.799 from 79.726.

so here I made many pips after wake up without using SL

Yesterday evening..to remember I said Good sell point is between 13750-13780 and the PA will probably go below 13700 in 12 hours..However I sold from 13802 ..I wish I could deliver good analyze of information..Now we are in critic decide to break 13670 support and go to 13615..If the PA not break it and turn back I will wait some hours for seeing a buy point cuz it can go now to both sides may the downtrend continues after London open..But the next better buy point can be 13615 level. After the price stabiliziation and my charts give the green move then I will have a buy zone. Now a risky zone for me..

Hourly bullish trendline has broken from 3710
This is a good chance to fight back against euro

EUR/USD retreats mildly after edging higher to 1.3817 earlier today but with 1.3641 minor support intact, another rise could still be seen. However, upside is expected to be limited by 1.3852 (38.2% retracement of 1.4578 to 1.3443 at 1.3861) and bring down trend resumption. On the downside, below 1.3641 will indicate that EUR/USD's consolidation from 1.3443 has completed already and flip intraday bias to the downside for retesting 1.3435 low. Break will confirm that whole fall from 1.5143 high has resumed. EUR/USD retreats after edging higher to 1.3814 but with 1.3640 minor support intact, another rise
could still be seen. However, upside is expected to be limited by 1.3850 (38.2% retracement of 1.4578 to 1.3443 at 1.3861)and
bring down trend resumption. On the downside, below 1.3640 will indicate that EUR/USD's consolidation from 1.3440 has completed
already and to the downside for retesting 1.3435 low. Break will confirm that whole fall from 1.5140 high
has resumed.

financial talking heads have been saying for weeks that the IMF would be the only likely and probably best rescue vehicle for Greece. Its not news.

it is if they say 'we need to borrow some money' from anyone though. Not that they've asked yet, but if they do...

EURO-DOLLAR: Opened Asia at $1.3735 and initially edged to session highs
at $1.3741 on early demand for euro-yen. Japanese supply into the fix
reversed this early move with stops triggered on the break below $1.3720
($1.3727 Wednesday low), the rate then meeting support at $1.3710.
Stronger selling was then prompted as market reacted to DJ report that
Greece could ask for IMF aid on weekend of April 2-4, as well as
reported comments from a 'Greek official' suggesting that the rift with
Germany over the debt crisis was deepening and that Greece not hopeful
of aid from the Mar 25 EU Summit. Rate dropped to $1.3667 before meeting
willing buyers into the dip. Rate has slowly recovered into early
European dealing, currently around $1.3685. Support seen around that
mentioned low, a break to expose a stronger support area which begins
from around $1.3655, strengthening toward $1.3640 with stops below. A
break here to open a deeper move toward $1.3625/20. Asian traders
suggest that stops have been building on the downside and therefore see
it as the weaker side. Resistance $1.3695/00, more at $1.3715/25.
