If getting educated, and working hard on career interests and being good at what you do doesn't entitle you to job then what does?!
Ignored
Entitlement is a guarantee of access to benefits because of rights or by agreement through law. It also refers, in a more casual sense, to someone's belief that one is deserving of some particular reward or benefit.

Nothing ENTITLES you to a job. You present your skills to the employer, along with thousands of other applicants-- it doesn't mean they all get the job.

Good morning all.

No trades for me over night because this type of PA is too risky for me to rely on seeing as I'm asleep during most of the UK and USA session. There was some nice moves though so hopefully you all cashed in.

Just looking at the 8 hour chart, and forgetting the round bottom for the moment, the PA has made 4 pretty solid attempts to get up north, and failed each time. I suppose it could be that it is trying to build up strength and will eventually manage it. I also could be that it is running out of strength and will turn south instead. Failure to reach (at least) 3838 last night suggests to me that the bull is not serious about his mission and the bears are still lurking. But the fact is that the rounded bottom does exist, so that has to be taken into consideration, but I still am unconvinced about it's authenticity.

Fundamentally I see more bad news ahead for EZ. Of course there is bad news for USD as well, but if USD news is bad, EU news is worse.....USD seems to be the lesser of two evils.

So, I will continue to sell the tops where possible with a pretty tight SL. I might be convinced to buy the dips as well, with an equally tight SL if we don't get some sort of direction soon.

Posting this again now that we've been rejected off that 50% fib level. For those who are short this is a good opportunity to build shorts around this area for a possible repeat of the formation around 1.4500. Stops should be above 1.3850 in my opinion and will change as this channel moves up.

The main risk here is the fact that it bounced on the 61.8% fib and looks to be a possible turn back north with the daily rounded bottom (And as malcom mentioned the volumes but I don't watch them so can't comment on this aspect).

That said today is encouraging...

Everything is teed up for an explosion. Next week is going to be interesting.

I have Gold, YM (DJIA), EU, and AU below.

Gold- rejected off the daily TL

YM- rejected off the previous high from Jan. (Possible double top)

AU- Daily TL that it's testing (first attempt failed)

EU- rejected off the 50% and looking kind of like the move from 1.4500 area.

These are the times I love to trade. Lowest risk entry points usually pop up in situations like these.

Isn't this insinuating that 250,000 is optimal?
Ignored
That is the minimum deposit at most institutions. But not an insinuation that it's optimal. Lets just focus on the big numbers because I understand some of you have never seen 6-figures. Lets just forget that I used an EXAMPLE of a broker that is likely to play games and not treat you fairly vs a bank with no need to have contests or bonus' (ie. you get what you pay for).

If you understood my sarcasm, kudos. If you didn't, check to see if you can enroll or sit in on a English class at your local community college.

I am sorry for expressing my opinion on the CFTC proposed rules. I also apologize for your staggering lack of understanding as I am not attacking/arguing the fact that people 'CAN' trade a retail account to build a decent account size and then go institutional. How many actually do this? Not many. It's great you achieved this. But would you personally keep $100K+ in a retail account? The point i was trying to emphasize is there's a REASON behind these bonus deposits/contests. (ie. their customers are losing $)

Again, use all the leverage you want....
Ignored
I see you just finished "How to Make Friends and Influence People." Must have been at outdated copy.

I would/do keep more than 100K in a retail account.

No doubt about it... leverage is our enemy... but no one wants it dictated to them. We can make our own decisions.

It's true... not many retail traders can make... but there are many here that do.

I don't know why so many here place bank traders on a pulpit. I have about a dozen friends that trade large capital.(1 billion or more) They are smart guys and solid traders but I beat every one them month after month. I don't work as a bank trader because I'm not good at being told what to do.

There are a lot of really smart, over qualified people out of work.

A good number for a retail trader living off his money would be around 250K. Just my opinion.

Mike,

Do you worry about cross pairs when your trading the EU? I notice that you trade the GU also...so for example will you long GU and short EU at the same time? What about the swissy? These are the my main 3 pairs and I'm really digging working on your system and watching the videos. I mean do you just stick to the pivots regardless or are other pairs not as prone to (long above pivot/ short below rules)??

Thanks for any advice,

Donnie

Open sell EUR USD at 13734. Target 13640. Stop loss is at 13790.
We work with different time-frames, so we can have opposite positions.
