i wouldn't care less if Greece got obliterated off the map or they stumble upon a new source of oil. just trade the chart, up or down who cares...

fundamentals doesn't matter, trade what you see

what ever it is ..am still holding my EU for my 1.415-1.42-1.43 area base on my USDCHF...but will take end a few of them ~ 1.3850-1.39 before befoe adding more to that 1.4X area

..1096-1093 then retrace up back to 1109-1111 or little bit higher at 1113area before drop back? let c what happen..

just reading more , Greece or like Greece problem will not be over any soon ? and eu going up , may be surge up , not comfortable with that , a headfake for sure ?

I have no idea. If I had one, I could be wrong. Why risk that? Until we take out 1.6 or the 10/08 low at 1.233 (200 pips from the mentioned global pivot, coincidence of course ), you could call it a consolidation, but not a downtrend.

However, I am sure people with short conviction can make just as many pips as me if they pick their entries correctly.

You said monthly trend isn't over & I am saying it is exactly because 1.6 wasn't taken out as price failed 1000 pips below it we have a technical failure swing on the monthly chart, weather this bounce & Euro will Continue going down as wekkly trend is down. Price discovery study points to 1.4 serving as next failure to where Euro will not return for many months. They don't want high Euro, simples!

Check USDCAD it's almost at parity now. AUDUSD? near by and USDCHF

moving in the same direction. Welcome back to 2007. Place your USD short

and go fishing for few month, collect cash later, uncle Ben will take care of the rest

(adding Ink to printers and stuff)..

Also check EURCHF almost all time low, this nonsense not sustainable EUR

should correct upward.. Shortly.

Strong euro? Or weak dollar? Europe doesn't need a strong euro now like USA doesn't need a strong $ now. Are there political motivations to strengthen either currency? Always. Today, I would suggest they are stronger in the USA than in the EMU.

And traders move the rate. Thats what they get paid to do. Did they accumulate massively @ 1.3500 so they can now dump for big profits off this run-up? Some think so. Maybe the same thing will happen in reverse now - off of 1.3850...1.40...1.45? Can we predict? Probably not. Probably best that can be done is to recognize what is happening in the moment. And act accordingly.

Unless you are a scalper like me. 15-20 pip movements on the M5 chart either way and I'm making money and the great drama of the nations is just noise.

That's why I turn into scalper too. BS changing too quickly. I don't want to
get caught with my pants down in any position overnight while another Dubai
or Greece pops up suddenly.. Quickly in and out, that's the plan.

I guess your post is as good as any to tag onto Malcolm.

It is not possible to believe any pubic statements completely. Right up to the close of the markets, different people were bleating "Greece doesn't need a bailout"...! Doh! You are certainly correct that all the markets are "Played". All of us are played in nearly every aspect of our lives by someone wanting to control what we think and do.

The question here is; who stands to benifit and how, by their blatant lies? Also, will this totally discredit E commision in the eyes of the world? I have no doubt that the missdirection had everything to do with getting the 6.5 billion of Greek bonds unloaded into sombody else's unwiting hands.

But, nearly everyone is aware that this 25 billion, is nowhere near the end of it. First Greece needs to quickly raise an additional 25+ billions. Portuagal may or may not be ok with their austerity plan, I don't know much about Portugal and their economy. However, there are leaks in the bucket everywhere. The Iceland default won't be repaid in our lifetimes, There is about 25 billion of "municipal' default at risk in Italy alone, Spain is a larger question mark, Ireland looms and Britain is in no position to do much for them they have enough of their own problems. And then we have the recent additions in Eastern Europe which have been totally swept under the rug.

Another poster mentioned Greece as having been "over played", it probably was. However, this was merely a different sort of game. Call it "waving the left hand", a typical conjuror's or politician's trick, of missdirecting the viewer's attention away from the real problem.

I don't know what will happen when the markets reopen. I know what should happen: the Euro should fall wildly. Will it? That depends on whether the stories of the record short positions are true, and partly on who holds these alleged shorts.

we take devaluation/inflation of USD into consideration then DOW has been

in the bear market

since 2000.. So, even if Dow goes to 20000 $USD wise, it still be off in real value about

70% (DOWN) since year 2000.

Check this chart out That the REAL DOW "RALLY".

This chart not exactly, but pretty much looks like USDx..

Unfortunately sky, mere mortals(clients), don't care for correlations as much as we do. They are more obsessed with the 70 % Gain on their account at the moment(since march). I just see alot of hedgefunds managers getting the shaft, if they keep fighting this thing with fundies..You know, the double dippers..lol

Mal is Right, the best thing to do is just follow your charts , lots of things don't make sense now. Saw crude oil going up the other day..LMAO, i mean , who the f** is going to support those prices in the real economy. But Hey, things are fantastic again.Right? RIIGGHT

Right now , i just do what the chart tells me to do. if fundamentals are all
over the place , i think charts reveal what majority are thinking or what they plan on doing..anyways.
