Guys.... being still a newbie, i have some more questions for u all.

those are:
In average, how many trade per day u take? I know t depend on the day, on the mood, on the mood of wife-husband-bf-gf-lover... but in average, in a normal day, how many are them?

Then... when u take a "larger trade" (with high SL and TP) do u take some other trade in the same pair and, if possible, on the other direction? and if yes, u do that even while u are being wrong on the "first" trade? (just to explain myself.... u take a long trade from 1.50 with SL 1.48 and TP 1.54 but the price goes down, and u short a small lot from 1.4950 with TP 1.49) ?????

Guilty of waiting for my 4h to close so missed the 15m move off the 200. Nice DBLHC with a retrace down the combined wick for the long entry. Nice example of this method working in fine form.

And people want to know why it's been so quiet in here? This thread is not here to provide you with trade calls. I can't really show you guys more than what I've already put forth into the thread. It's up to you the trader to apply the tools.

Hi Dario.

I'm possibly over cautious but personally only look for a couple of trades in each of the three sessions (Asia, London, NYC).

Perhaps it's just the way you wrote your example but the trade you refer to is well outside the parameters of trades I take with this method (did you mean 1.50, 1.48 and 1.54?). My SL is never more than 35 pips but that is in accordance with my rules and the trade entries I aim for.

I do take simultaneous trades on a pair but personally never add to a trade unless I have first taken some profit and locked my entry at break even i.e, I wouldn't add to a trade that was in the red. I do take trades counter to open positions I have (though not that often) but they are only off identified s/r areas and I like to take some profit and cover my entry as quickly as possible.

Just my approach. I'm sure there are others here who can and do trade more aggressively than I.

I am having this serious problem of protect pips. For example I took m15 200ma @ 1.4980, I move to BE after 10 pips and lock 10pips after 20 pips. It came all the way to stop me out. My minimum lot is 0.1. Anytime and bank the whole pips and wait for retracement to reenter it won't retrace. Whenever, I protect, it will stop me out and move the same direction. How do you guys handle this please.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD AND EXCELLENT IS ATTENTION TO DETAILS.

I think Macc summed it up for me in his post as well. I keep all SL's tight, I will go against an open order that I have with proper price action and S/R.

Good morning, Macc. I see the DBLHC off the 200. I also see a struggle for a clean break from 1.5000 which looks like a decent S/R level. I have an upward trend line off which it's bouncing. So I'm long at 1.50006, SL at 1.4985. I'd greatly appreciate your opinion of my analysis if you have a sec. thanks much.

Hi ejiexe.. i am still new, but i asked the exact same question to EO couple of days ago. Well... he answered to me to always protect my pips, and when my SL gets hit... just look for another opportunity to pull the trigger again.

I got stopped out of once myself, but reentered. The MA was holding, the HTF S/R was in line as well. Remember, this is intraday trading. We take positions, book profit, cover and look for a new entry constantly. That new entry might be against the open position we have or it might be to get back in a trade after we just got closed out.

I understood the example you were giving. Just wanted to make the point about the size of the stop losses I apply and therefore let you know that I would never find myself in the example you suggested.

Again, I personally never add to positions that are in negative territory (or trade against an open position unless it's covered at BE) though I believe there are traders here that do.

Good moring all. thought I'd post a chart. I see support at the 1.5 level. I also like the support on the upward trend line. The DBLHC looks to favor a long as do the supporting MA's on the h1 and h5. I'm long targeting 1.5070 area and will move SL to BE + spread once the current bar paints. This looks strong to me. Hope I'm right.
