All i see is GPBUSD weakness reflecting on eurusd, usdchf and goldusd. This could still go either way.

i traded the cad 2.5 years ago it fell like a rock with little pullback before crises. i traded all majors u.s crosses in 2008.. they had many bulls then also saying it cant do this or it cant do that. the road is littered with bull nutz and bear ass.. what it cant do is what makes it a market. if it was as easy as many think then there would be no market because we would all trade alike. it does what it needs to do.. unlike what is greatly believed banks have less to do with price.. its commerce... the less u.s. buys from ez the more euro will go down.. it dont matter what interest rates are and all the other crap that causes spikes.. the fed reserve has said it will stop loaning to other feds usd short. now the other feds have to go to markets, this takes out the manipulation. foreign feds with cozy relationships with banks in other countries wont be able to tip off their countries banks..

EURO-DOLLAR: Squeezing lower again, breaks under earlier pullback lows
around $1.3525 to extend intraday losses to $1.3512. Rate currently
trades around $1.3525. Bids seen placed between $1.3510/00. A break
below here to open a deeper move toward $1.3465 with bids noted from
here, strengthening toward $1.3450. Resistance $1.3545/50, a break above
to allow for a move up toward $1.3565 and stronger area between
$1.3580/85.

The impossible allways happens...eventually. In the shrt term there are checks and balances and 'interventions. I think we are about to see some of those by the London open. Whatever response there is here is very deliberate. We won't clear the fog for a few hours yet. I only meant to caution folks that the "news" is not released for our benifit, and that they should be carefull.

That "blue light special" short I took on Friday is paying off sooner than I thought. I think I'll hold on to that one for awhile. It's playing out that we test the lows.....

COMMODITIES: Commodities have been making decent gains in Europe
this morning, with metals prices taking focus after an earthquake in
Chile over the weekend caused its copper mining production to be
suspended, leading to a 5% rally in the metal. With this, the broader
metals markets have moved in sympathy with copper today, with a rebound
in equities helping keep sentiment to the upside. The front Comex copper
future set a two month high after the quake at $348.70, although
electronic trade today saw some players lock in profit, taking the edge
off the metal. That said, a sharp drop in cable midday, linked to the
Prudential - AIG acquisition, caused a sharp sell-off across
commodities, on the comparative expense of dollar denominated assets in
London. Spot gold pulled-back from the session peak of $1,132.60 in
London, dropping an additional $3/oz on the currency move, to set the
low at $1,111.75. Nymex light sweet crude has continued to hover in the
$80/bbl area in electronic trade today, relatively rangebound and
covering the $79.66 - $80.62 range.

The Chilean copper mines all announced, yesterday, that they were not shutting down, and that the earthquake would not affect production??

This current drop in EU/GU came out of nowhere..

But it fits my scenario.. Was not able to short Cable though,

dropping too fast.. Need some kind of rebound to enter short.. Want to see 50% retrace to

about 1.5047

Cable go down first, then EUR, and Then USD collapse, that's how I see it.

Agree with that, they have banks with balance sheet total 300%+ the size of their national GDP with massive exposure to the US cancer debt since UK has been US's bitch for the past couple of decades. Next Iceland waiting to happen.

On the other hand, should any EU official just mention the possibility of kicking Greece out of the monetary union (Eurozone) while keeping them in the political union (European Union), EUR will shoot straight through the roof. They won't do it. We want weak Euro, but not too weak.
