I am trying to dedicate some time to get through this thread this week as I have graduated from Babypips (great site btw).

I am having problems with access the forum page by page so I am going through your PDF, but will recover the forum at some point.

I am sure that this is answered deeper into the thread, but can I please ask why you chose the ema/sma's that you did?

I currently have them listed as the following (taken from the PDF):

15minute:
5ema ~ Red
10ema ~ Blue
21ema ~ Purple
35sma ~ Black
50sma ~ Light Green
50ema ~ Green
200sma ~ Yellow

1hour:
10sma ~ Orange
50sma ~ Light Green
62ema ~ Neon Green
200sma ~ Yellow

4hour:
5sma ~ Red
10ema ~ Blue
50ema ~ Green

Day:
5sma ~ Red
35sma ~ Black
50ema ~ Green

If the answers is simply - thats what I use and you should too, then I'll understand, but I like to learn things rather than simply implementing them blindly (which sometimes isnt so good!)


Can I also ask, how you setup you screen? By the looks of it I would assume its 4 charts with the seperate MA's on them. Though, rather than assume I would rather take 'what I see, not what I expect'

Apologies if these questions are answered later in the thread, its just that I want to set up some charts so that things seem clearer as I read through.

A mutual friend to this thread has kindly sent me some of their charts, so I'll have a nice little collection running!

Welcome to the thread Lee! Congratulations on graduating from babypips! As to why I've chosen the ma's I have, it's just from trial and error. Remember what an ma is, nothing more than floating support and resistance. I've found the ones I use to work for me and this method. Feel free to adjust to your personality.

Here's a screenshot of my charts. I also have individual charts for the daily/weekly/monthly/h4 that I plot my S/R on.
