When I'm offered a one pip spread, I expect that to be honoured. If one pip is not enough for my broker to make money on, they should not offer it. Why should I have to leave a "tip" on the table, when I'm a heavy trader and I'm helping to pay their wages??

i trade on raw feed which is usually 0.1 pip on eurusd even on a 5 digit broker, but still i allow a deviation of 3 pips, if at all it happens which is rare. for me its safety first and there is no room for me to be a snob.

Of course raw feed means I do not pay spread but i do pay commission per 1 million units traded.

Well simple solution....learn to trade the large time frames and forget about bickering about the spread. That's a sucker's game. When you're making hundreds of pips, who gives a crap about a 2 or 3 pip spread difference.

Oil, gold and silver technical may see the re-emergence of selling pressure as technical positioning points to weakness ahead of key resistance levels while stock markets hint at lackluster risk appetite.

Prices have met significant resistance at $80.67, a former support level that is being reinforced by the top of a rising channel that has guided the upward correction that has materialized this month. Negative RSI divergence argues for a move lower from here, with initial support seen at $77.53. Shares are lower in Europe while US equity index futures have given back all of their Asia-session gains and now trade in negative territory, bolstering the case for a downside scenario considering the 20-day percent change correlation between crude and the MSCI World Stock Index stands at a formidable reading of 0.89. The economic calendar may help dilute selling pressure, however, as the Dallas Fed’s measure of manufacturing activity is expected to rise 10% in February, marking the biggest increase in three years and boosting oil demand expectations.

The 20-day percent change correlation between the cheaper precious metal and the MSCI World Stock Index is now at 0.78, so as with gold, the risk sentiment landscape is supportive of emerging selling pressure. Initial support is seen at the $16.00 figure.
