no need to say anything the chart shows it all . the correction abc wave4 could be finished wave 5 is in process to target 1.3073 161.8 fib to confirm this we need the low to be taken . correctins to the upside could be taken if the support 1.3440 holds .it ll be an intresting week on the dollar res 80.55 is broken will it hold and wave 3 starts on the upside then we ll see the collapse of gold with first target 1010 fib exp 100. will this happen who knows it might lol

I'm indifferent to gold atm. In a way it would be nice for it to collapse so that I could buy in cheap. Otherwise I'll stay out and just keep it all in currency.

This is just a general observation and not towards anyone in particular.

As a longtime gold trader I've found that fear and greed keep most people from making serious money in gold. When price is correcting in a bull market the longs bail and sell at a loss afraid price is going to zero. The shorts keep piling on convinced its never going up again. When price starts recovering, the shell shocked longs,who were waiting to pick a bottom to get back in are still afraid and wait for their TA to confirm. When they get the signal they already missed most of the up move. Meanwhile the greedy shorts refuse to see it as a correction and give back most of their hard fought gains or sell at a loss refusing to believe it could get that high again.
Reverse the scenario in a bear market.

The advantage to gold over stocks is that gold is not going off board like a stock can. Scale in ,scale out and don't give in to fear and greed.

however, returns for GOLD is so minute.

Treasury bills seem to be a better investment than Gold. now that the economy is stabilizing, Gold is not good anymore./

That last breakout from 950 would have netted a conservative trader a 15% to 20% profit.

The bond market is topping and nearing the end of its 30yr bull run. We are one failed auction away from a collapse.

at 200-300$ OZ, why should

Those guys have Gold in Swiss private vaults, when it's all over, you can use

your Treasury bill next time you visit your bathroom. Poor boys, you are

maybe you better off just making burgers 9-5 in nearest Burger King,

at least it's "stable job", same as treasury bills, stable way to inflate your money to ZERO overtime.

Exactly. If paper money was a flawed system, then it would have been abolished hundreds of years ago. Maybe something will eventually replace actual paper, but the intrinsic value will carry over.

you will always find a buyer for your gold.
the only secular bull trend you will find.

trade, futures, etf, mining stocks or physical gold.
anyway very superficial view at gold my fried. we are here to make money.
So if gold is going up. you have to buy. only if you wanna make money.

if not. you can always short it.

people still dreaming about gold,
heard the $2000 an ounce for gold 2 years ago when it broke the $1000

now after nearly 2 years (exactly 23 months) gold has just gained 10%,
with all the financial crisis in the world in the last 2 years gold just gained 10% , 2 years ago euro was worth $1.5 , if you take the current price for $ against euro you will find gold gained nearly nothing in the last 2 years

There's actually not that much paper money. Most money is created as electronic transfers, about 80%.

And what other asset protected your money in the last 3 years my friend ?
You are comming now after a big rally in stocks. where were you in march 2009 when gold was the only assets that made money in the last decade.

commodities ? stocks ? bonds ?
what about 5, 10 years ? what was your return on stocks ? bonds ?.

Hey if you get a 5 minute chart- gold is dropping like crazy.

Gold gained more in an inflationary environment. not deflationary . so just let the economy recover. we will see then what gold is up too.

Soros double his bet on gold, Paulson has a big chunk now. hedge funds, banks are buying gold. but hey like always. They are all crezy. Of course the retail player knows better. short gold my friend.
