I am still learning. Lot of times I enter the trade and leave the profit to reach TP, when I come back my SL taken.

Closing half and moving to break even gave me peace of mind.

I believe one of the main things to be succesful in forex is to have a positive risk to reward ratio

I simply refuse myself to trade if the RR is anything less than 1:1,5

I see lots of people here making profits, but how much are they risking? There's no point in taking 20 pips of profit if you are risking 40 or more, or even (god forbid) no SL at all.

I didn't trade the eur/usd today, although I'm always watching it very closely

but had 2 very nice trades short AUD/USD .9010 and long USD/CAD .4010 SL on both 20 pips

both orders taken at S&R with excellent RR

took some profit and the rest is let to run..

u can hold the shorts and can set ur target to any of the areas inside the circle here... bottom floor is the green bollinger band..

I used to enter trade when the trend is set. MACD, ADX, Stoch all in favor, MA10/20 cross, candle below/above the MA. keep 100 pips SL and TP at 30. Really got burnt in this.

Now I enter the trade and keep a SL at 10-15 pips. TP1 at 10 pips and then move SL to BE :-)
I have to be monitoring the trade, but that is worth it.

Alright this is my setup for now. Buy limit @ 1.356 with SL @ 1.349. Reason the last two bottom 1.3535 and 1.355 technically it is bullish if, 1.356 is not intact today then it is bullish divergence, a nice place to go for 1.4. Other reason that rumors of short covering from bears waiting for Euro news, option barrier @ 1.35. It can be wrong if some shit happen with euro today. Good luck everyone. Go to sleep now.
