This is ofcourse the obvious at its most obvious but just to say I concur with the thought process.

doesent sound like you can afford to lose the 5k. Consider it already gone if you start trading with the hopes of making that sort of return any time soon, or ever for that matter. Everyone would be doing it if it was that easy. If you put that money anywhere near a forex trading account it is GONE!! you have been warned

Yep when 1pip would be worth 1000$, all you would be looking to do is minimizing the risk, minimizing the risk, minimizing the risk. You won't care how many trades you get a month or how much pips. You will just know that one A+ trade will take care of you for months and you could have a life spending time with your family.

But when you start your journey please don't pay attention to ROI, R:R, Account Size or trades per month etc.

If you spend your time on this BS you don't have a chance.

Just learn to trade first, Learn to see a chart. Get some solid method, practice it's basics, and then make some changes (if necessary) so it could suit your personality and after months of Demoing it in several market conditions successfully,

set an MM plan and PUT your $$ IN.

Numbers will take care of themselves.

I wouldn't be looking to compound, as I need to withdraw my profits to live on.

Oh, and I don't have $50,000 to invest either; if I did, I wouldn't need an immediate income.

Id like to see it but I doubt I ever would. 30% per week every week just doesnt happen. 3% per week would be more than enough and even that would come to over 100% per year. If you could achieve that then you would be well onto something but 30% is just not realistic.

This member was in a similar position to you last summer i believe.

I haven't kept track of how well he's done (none of my business), but you could have a read through his journal to give you an idea of the road you're looking down.

Absolutly. If you could get to a point in your trading career when a pip = something worth keeping then your in complete control of your future. From there, as you mention, it requires less and less risk and compounding just becomes a bythought.

IN the end the only thing you need to control is your risk. If you can protect your capital and allow trades to mature then you will grow. If people keep trying to shortcut there growth with high leveraged, high risked trades then they will eventually become a statistic, and there is rumoured to be at least a 95% chance of that happening.

For the thread starter, I can understand the peril you are in, but as some have mentioned to try for 30-40% gains per month TO HAVE TO LIVE ON will no doubt put you in a deeper predicament while at the same time have you curled up in the fetal position should a few trades go against you. Fear and the NEED to have a certain outcome will work against you more often that not. Just my 2c

It's important that you understand that trading is no a way to safe the day.
Most new people come to the market with unrealistic expectations that's why they fail. High Return comes from High Risk. With high risk consitency is almost impossible because you will definately have a large drawdown at one point.
That's going to ruin you confidence and ruin your trading once and forall.

You don't know how to trade. It's not a big problem.

Now the problem here is that you don't have time to learn to trade.

You need 1500$ flowing in your account every month straight away.

Lets say if you learn a trading method in a week or you could get a decent EA. Still You won't let this account grow (compounding) by taking out all the profits every month Which is still fine, but would you fund your account with 500$ or 1000$ if your month ends in loss of 500$-1000$.

unless if you could find a method/EA that promises 1500$ every month all the year. (Btw nobody found it yet)

You are digging in a Hole.

Now the best advise i could give (and i know people will bash me but be realistic guys) is to find a Money Manager and let him trade your money.

First i would say that you have just joined in January and you have started testing the senior's by calling them seller's. Not a good thing to do.If you really wan't to test/evaluate someone go through his recent posts and you will get to know him easily.(if you are intelligent enough) .

1500$ a month with equity 5000$ , it is Possible.. but it depend on how good is your skills and experience. But 99% will be failed for newbie to try this..
