Just wondering how many of you make a living trading forex and how much practice did it take (how long) until you were able to make a living?

You should rather ask how much money it took.
Use the search function you'll get a crapload of results.
It takes anything from 6 months to infinity to become genuinely successful. Then again I know someone who made a million for two years and then gave it all back last year which suggests they never had it.
