I'm pretty sure there is a broker section on this website...
I use Futures so I won't be much help. When I first got into this I used Oanda and never had any trouble with them other than news times the spreads widen huge (they did back when I was using them on a regular basis at least).
You'll have to do some research though as I haven't traded with a Market Maker for some time. You could also look at some ECN's.
