hey guys,


I know all the bad news that has been coming regarding greece and slow gdp growth etc.

One would have expected the euro to be slightly bullish because of the EU meeting about greece this week. The meeting shed no details on how they were going to help so the EUR dropped further.

I want to know from you guys. I use stochastics and daily price range as a indicator of entering a trade. I just find that going short when stochs are showing oversold levels to be a bit nerve wrecking even though the PA is suggesting a lower low.

How do you guys overcome that mindset? ie: All indicators showing oversold and yet add shorts to your trade.

I find that stochs works worse on this pair especially this type of market.

Any of the experienced guys assist?

One more thing. I prefer to be a counter-trend trader ie: Fade the trade as i feel that whenever the market is going into levels that it hasnt come from yet to receive big support/resistance.

Hope im making sense.

Not that much idea as to market oversold or bought any time , it can in one time frame not in immediate or other higher tf & so continues . To me there can't be any such condition in realtime , you want to buy or sell some but market refuses because overbought or sold , seems it never happened . When there a sell there always a buyer & viseversa.

In counter-trend trades one must see a good sr price may reacts at & accumulate orders as approaches nearby through less strong srs & be ready to close all at a level expected or even before it with all trades or max positive , i do place trades with bigger lots nearer the strong sr . Anyway it may be dangerous if not close timely & lust for more pips at atime. As practice in consolidation periods smaller tf One important thing, how do you diagnose extremities ? take nearby srs , see price stalls in m1 & decide .only.example see pic.

I would like to suggest a trading plan. It works for me every single time.

Wait for the price to go long or short for 75-80pips and at that level (usually lands close to a S/R level) enter a fade trade for min 10pips SL 15-20 pips.

I have been stopped out once in the last 6months on 4th January 2010.

What TP and SL do you usually use with your strategy. Its amazing how accurate it is hey?

Look at the charts on Thurs. It worked perfectly and if you look at the 80pip price movement after the days low was reached it works again.

My biggest fear has always been not wanting to lose a trade.

I decided to reduce my risk per trade and set a reasonable SL of 15.

So if I can trade 10 trades like that with one loss its still 75pips gain.

Anyone on here trade the GBPJPY. Same strategy will apply only look for a movement of 180-200 pips with a SL of 50 pips. Market usually corrects in excess of 50-100 pips. I normally just take TP20.

So between these two currencies on a week such as the past you should have seen in excess of 100pips for the week.

China just messed up my earnings on Friday. Murphys Law - I dont ever trade on Friday and the 1 day that i do that happens!

Racer take a look at the bigger picture, I am trading out of the Daily yours is at 4H.
The basic rule of TL analysis is to start at the Dailys for swing trades and work inward to pinpoint entrys.

Of all the charts, you'd be lucky to have a small percentage line up and all agree, so you always start out and work in.

With proper TL analysis, a common swing can turn into a trend trade and be held for longer term.

But ya gotta start somewhere....

Learning new things TD sequencinal counts by demark for more accurate buy,sell set ups I used to roughly as abcd patterns ,seems very interesting . Daily tf alerting sell setup perfection but near end count 10 bar running but all other tfs lower showing buy setup perfection that is next counts down can be up.
Anybody knows it or using can help understanding .

I don't know much about the abcd patterns or I would chime in. I am interested though so hopefully someone else will give their opinion. Thanks for the charts by the way.

Thanks , hope someone may knows about & by this time I am searching net for more informations free as most sites I checked it showing as costly product.Perhaps will use /test in intraday trading with as with other indicators to see how accurate it signals.
When a buy setup perfection occurs with at 9 bars complete signals but countdown of 13 bars next but an Intersection also needed to determine whether the setup process has been perfected and countdown can begin. will give more information as collected if somebody interested too.

Interesting can you elaborate on how your using this method to trade the gpb/jpy. I trade that pair and sometimes you may be waiting all day for a pip move of that size so I am more than curious how you trade that pair.

I only trade it when I see it's oversold and will come down 100 pips of so and visa versa.
It's a great pair to make money on if you know what your doing.
I also use it for scalping as it's one of the best pairs for that.

Yeah, looks pretty much temporary bottom here, we are at 50% retrace from last drop 1hr tf.
World needs breakout upside and i checked Andrews pitchfork which targets aroundbouts 1.38....profit taking there.

I think big green candle from Feb 12 at 14.00 GMT+1 (high 1.3628, low 1.3551) is a good sign for robust support.

Eurusd could not even drop through the UML from 1.3839...
They think they are smarter than I am.
