Any decent indicator can tell you, MACD, RSI, etc.

Even a EMA (64ish) on the Daily can show you how far price deviates. The longer the deviation persists, the greater the likely hood of a pull back as sellers cannot find buyers.

Plus, they've been screaming about it on CNBC for over a week....

Hi
Dear Experts and pals kindly guide me regarding My EuroUsd Trade which is...
I have position of long at 1.3987.........
Kindly tell me when this pair EUROUSD will reach the digit of 1.3987....
Or whats the last support of EuroUsd???
Or i have to Exit the trade???

Really i'm worried ....

Regards:
Ignored

wow really? if you have sat on a +400 pip loss then your profit target must have been massive and you must of had some compelling reasons to stay in during such a freefall..

will you share your profit target and holding logic?

as for your trade there is no obvious and immediate upside to the euro that is going to drag straight back to BE for you, so unless you know something I don't I would consider choosing a new exit strategy that is going to limit further loss....

Long at 1.3620, SL at 1.3560, Exit at 1.3696. Thinking this Friday afternoon will be much like last week with a lot of afternoon short covering. Long weekend, Greece bailout announcement Tuesday....

and you still survive? did you hedge that long anyway?

i'm an amateur, but i do know that going back to 1.3987 is a really+very long shot. if you insist on holding the position, then try hedging.

Yes. If traders take positions thinking they are only gonna get a huge retracement to wipe out their short position, they'll always be looking for a bottom.

Retracements were far and few between last July., and I'm sure many other historical times

Anyway,
What do you call 3545 -> 3635? It seems like a good enough retracement to me.

I gotta admit, that is one of the guttiest statements I've heard on FF....other than the 1,000 pip a week kids.

And it's not just about traders. There are several more entity's moving currencies than the handful of speculators that we believe moves this market.

From my crudely and quickly thrown together chart:

EVERY TREND HAS TO HAVE PULLBACKS IN ORDER TO SUSTAIN ITSELF.

Experts is a strong word.

No one has admitted to having a PHD in economics yet.

Trading currencies is more a game of probabilities based on weighing factors.

I have a small cage if you want to swing by and pick it up. I believe it even has a 5" flatscreen tuned to Animal Planet.

now is not the time for shorting, even if it has finished retracement , which it has not, it is not going to get any new push lower until after the weekend now

GBP/USD, AUD/USD and EUR/GBP must fall a little, so E/U must fall at least to 1.3600.

God....you're killin' me!

I'd like to see it. Our economics don't justify it whatsoever.

In 2005, everyone was calling the U.S. economy a "Freight train that couldn't be stopped."

That party was crashed very soon thereafter.

Crystal balls are best left to carnie fortune tellers.

I think that that maximum was 40 pips ago, so an exit anytime now would be good.. but thats just my opinion...

There will be pullbacks, without a doubt. We'll either reach 1.24, or not - but it won't happen in a straight drop. Best to wait for pullbacks to add to shorts, until the downtrend is invalidated.
