Bear trend flags/pennants usually are that way but we won't know until it breaks... Most likely in the next hour.

I may be looking forward for a trend break rather than trading counter trend break. . . I think much better rather than countering strong trends

Yeah, I had that thought also but if we're up 100 pips we'll have time... Something else to consider is we have US Retail Sales in the morning. This may not go down until then but I am hoping it does.


Edit: Yeah it can be a big mover if the numbers are off by much, Germany is one of the big EU member states.

Morning to all . Just checking what has happened specially yesterday.Price developing in a way to hope for bullish momentum undercover Greece drama & other news ultimately failed to bring even to an honorable level plus manupulating gold to the near highest level possible these days also failed bring eu to life and traders took the right decision , shorts.
Hope more shorts coming with gold will start down again , push & pull in a lubricated environment to deliver the product , the very mother formula.

I am thinking if the news is pro Euro there will be a quick dip close to the 650 level and then take off from there, given what looks like some buying that has been going on through the day after all the insanity I am leaning long at somewhere around 650, if the news is bad i imagine that it will be yesterday all over again with a drop to 600 and then some serious buying at that level. German numbers have got to be good if they are planning to back Greece, or am I way off the mark?

Three day weekend US. Traders travel for vacations on long weekends..they leave early on Fridays.
Don't expect much action at all. Still recovering from the storm in New York slow down US session.
Chinese New Years. Greece on hold till more EU meetings Tues and Weds next week...

No doubt EURUSD will stay pretty much put...regardless of whatever data.

(Short position I entered .368 early on finally paid after that "wild mouse"...ride up to .38).

No daily close below 1.3650 since May

If you are not already short from higher levels you might want to wait for a close below that level, otherwise this thing could easily go back to 1.4025
