I see at least 20 pips drop in 5 min tf on eur/usd soon and then drop on gold from 1092 -> 1084 in 4 hr tf.

Well, it can go up as well....the wedge.
They think they are smarter than I am.

I don't recall the %'s.
Wave 3 cannot be the smallest of 1,3 or 5
Wave 1,3,5 will be impulsive
Wave 2,4 will be smaller movements against the 5 wave trend.

If you boil it down to the basics, it's all about the "has" and "has not's".

Price will only rise if demand is greater than supply. That can come from speculation, banking, or commercial interaction.

There has to be a buyer for each seller. And if buyers and sellers become too UN-leveraged, then slippage can become excessive. Brokers can only do so much before they are the slaves to the Interbank machine.

Alcohol will make you ramble for apparently no reason. Abstinence is the best policy.

Like anything that matters in the investing world: rarity defines value. It would then be no surprise that the US dollar will appreciate in the medium term. This is what I call the “now mechanics.” Recent movements are still mostly defined as stocks versus bonds and anything else here has been a sideshow. I am still bullish on a number of things—namely, the hard assets category. I do think that timing is critical to temper this bullishness and money contraction will become the overriding factor.


People focus too much on the day-to-day news as it reveals very little of the markets’ often superb anticipation skills. Contracting money, to us, is now the prime driver of the greenback’s rise and its ascension could definitely surprise us ...

There has been such excessive spending without backing since that time, that contraction is a word from history that very few understand the real concept of.

Especially if you work for the federal government, a.k.a. "the man".

So, is your thinking that they are accumulating on bad euro news/good us news to dump this thing when they want? I'm already in some shorts but just wondering.
I see what you mean about US good news and then momentum gets help up but I'm just trying to figure out where SM is going.

you are exactly right.

When in doubt, print more!

Greenspan got blamed for a lot of crap that was directly "requested" by congress. Velocity increased beyond the scope of control; which he had been warning about. Correction was inevitable. Welcome to the global recession.
